I've found some great info on my Clarion XMD1 head unit (how to make an aux input, etc) and other good technical audio info in this forum today. I'm not a wakeboarder, so I hope you don't mind this post.
I have a 32' express cruiser. Right now I have an XMD1 head unit, a 200w 4-ch amp feeding 4 - 6.5" 2-ways and a 10" sub in the cockpit. The head unit powers 2 - 6.5 in the cabin. Everything is Clarion. All this is stock & factory installed. Most of the time where listening to tunes while at the sandbar, so the engine isn't running. I do have the advantage of being able to fire up a 5KW generator when the house battery gives out. I also have 2 fridges to power.
The boat has an 11'3' beam so I probaby have 10' of width inside the all aluminum radar arch. To keep the aesthestics nice and the wife happy, and speakers I mount should be as white as possible. I don't have a rail to mount speakers, but if a flat mount doesn't exist one could be made.

Does anyone make a tower speaker with 1 speaker that fires out the front and another that fires back in the same enclosure? I'm assuming there could be an push-push or pull-pull issue with the speakers

I have plenty of sound out on the swim platform, but a little more wouldn't hurt. My goal is for more sound up on the bow/sunpad and at the helm. The 8" Bazooka Tubbies in white look pretty good so far, even with the little bit of chrome. I'm afraid Bose 151s Or 251s wouldn't put out enough kick.

It wouldn't be difficut to mount another amp under the dinette seats, but cooling has been an issue down there with the 1st amp.

Thanks in advance.
Diggler
Talk to rio at Precision metal works, he can make a can, powdercoated white with holes on both sides for you(I got mine powder coated black) Then just fill with some good Alpine or JL marine speakers(which have white grills) and you are set to go.

Thanks for the tip, I saw a thread last night with pics of his billet pieces integrated into a tower. Very nice stuff. I'll ping him and see what he suggests.
