Folsom sometime

Hello all,

New guy here. I bought a 2002 SAN Team Edition last year and am learning to wake board. The problem is I can't ever find a third. Just thought I put the feelers out and see you was up for riding on Folsom. Just got the boat from the shop with some new seats and want to go out. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks Chris

Just cruised out to Folsom the other day, the water was LOWWW at the launch at rattlesnake. Wood and debris all over the place. Kind of makes you angry when you have to walk your boat way out after you just paid $22 to launch lol

Where do you usually launch at?

I live in Folsom, so I usually go out to Browns Ravine or Folsom point. I thought about not renewing my pass for this year because of the water being so low. I heard done by late July.

My gf and I will cruise to Folsom sometimes because its pretty close to work, bring the boat to work, head down to rattlesnake in about 10 mins.
But for the price of the pass, i think the gate woman said $265, I'm not all too sure if its worth it for a couple half day cruises.

The sac river down at discovery is where we have been going, but by the time you burn $50 in fuel heading down there i guess it's a horse and a horse.
$10 to launch at discovery and I believe $160 for a pass.

We ride Folsom all the time, 3-4 times a week. We are always looking for more people. My number is in my profile. Hit me up anytime. I was thinking about getting out this afternoon? Greg

I'm down for a SAN ride. have you slammed it yet? I have about 2200# in mine.

OX 05-20-2013 5:11 AM

No. I'm running stock ballest. I did just get a fat sack from a buddy. Thought I would try some surfing.

wksk8r 05-20-2013 11:20 AM

sounds good. Maybe you can come out on mine sometime and see how you like it with weight.

wksk8r 06-19-2013 2:58 PM

Is anyone riding? seems slower than normal...

OX 06-19-2013 8:17 PM

Is slow, been busy with work and other crap. Thought about tomorrow, but have to be at a meeting a 7 in Cameron park.

Just thought I'd mention that I sent a letter to our wonderful park's department regarding the retarded pricing of the pass for Folsom now...I doubt they care but it made me feel better.

260 bucks or whatever it costs definitely makes me re-think the whole thing...especially when the lake will be at 412 by the end of July...:banghead:

Sad part is that stupid pass is really only useful for me at the one lake (folsom)...Would be nice if it were good for river or other local boating spots.

I've been meaning to try to get together a Folsom crew...just way to busy at work. It's usually a last minute grab the wife and kids and head out type of trip...

I would love to go with any of you, out of state all summer:mad:
Tim works at Clem.......

$260 bucks is a ridiculous price. I'm glad you wrote something. Can you get me the address you sent it to. I'd be glad to also send in my concerns.

Being this is only my second year on the lake, what happens at 416 ft? Is that when it goes to 5 mph? Can you still surf?

robertstone9 06-26-2013 10:50 AM

@ 400' it goes to 5 MPH have fun trying to surf at 5MPH
