Alright guys we hit up the lake this weekend again. We are still trying to get the most out of our wake with what we have. I have the feeling it could be better than it is with the amount of weight we already have. Heres our setup this week: Stock ballast port full and front half full, 500 in the ski locker, 500 on the floor the rear port side(my dad wont put sacks on the seats), three four people in the boat, no trim tab, 10.4 mph, going straight.

okay crap for some reason i cant get a picture to upload. i was going to post one and see what you guys think i should do with what i have. i can surf its just not what you guys have. But if you have any suggestions to get the most out of what i have please share. I think we are going to buy more sacs soon also.

switch the 500 with a 750 in the rear locker.
talk dad into a 750on the seat side ur surfin

a 750 on the seat? will that damage the seats in the long run?

stevo8290 06-23-2009 4:26 PM

by the way, does anyone else ever have problems uploading photos? i click upload and it just doesn't do anything.

no damage to the seats from my experience.
think of the 750 as 4 really big girlz.
the weight on the seat lists the boat properly.
weight on the floor and it ruins the wave on the 45.

alright thanks, and i really wanna post pics but for some reason it wont.

you can post your pics on some service like picassa, or flickr, and then just point a link to the album, that makes it much easier.

I remember hearing someone in town here has a loaded X-45 with custom sacs. I believe they were something crazy like almost 3000 lbs per side. The sacs were shaped like an enzo sac to fix in the X-45 lockers. That is a BIG boat and will need LOTS of weight to get it to list properly.

so should i put a towel down under the sac on the seat. I just want to make sure i dont damage it in any way.

from what i can tell, satration of the foam in the seat when spilling water all over them all weekend is the only thing that might damage them by way of moldy mildew smell.
i lift my seats up sideways so they air out and drain every day.
our lesson school boats usually run 10 hours a day 7 dayz a week, weve never had seat issues from too much weight on um
good luck

You need more weight for a good wave with the x45. We usually run with a 750 in the rear locker and several bags on the seats, including one more 750 on the seat as well as a few smaller 375lb bags, one on the seat in front of the 750, one in the bow seat and another on the floor keeping the 750 propped up on the seat. I also have a smaller "fat buddy" that has handles and can be moved around to dial the wave.

Once you get the wave really dialed in you will understand, with the right amount of ballast the x45 produces an amazing surf wake. Here is a video of our wave, you can see the 750 on the seat: http://www.youtube.com/x45surfer#play/all/uploads-all/2/MIL_2pONqHM it gets a lot bigger and better I think we were in some rough open water that day and were running with less ballast. Notice my crazy friend hiking out the side to improve my wave. While I don't endorse this it definitely got us thinking about weights that could hang on the tower.

Wow. that is a lot of weight. Since we wakeboard more i don't really think putting that much weight in our boat for an end of the day session will be practical. Ha i would love to do that sometime. Your wave looks really fun! Maybe someday
