For those of you with the new style bimini on the 06 Supra's, how do you like them. I currently have the old style on my 05 SSV and am looking to swith it out.

Does it work well and provide good coverage.

thanks...

They are pretty sweet. The only thing is it makes it tough to mount lights up top.

Diggs, Thanks.

I know there are other 06 Supra owners.

Please chime in on this.

Are you talking about the 'over the tower' bimini or the regular bimini?

insuranceman 07-12-2006 6:12 AM

Naw, Yes the over the tower. I currently have the regular.

Bye the way thanks for the hookup on the tower mirror.

No problem, hope you like it!

I haven't experienced the forward bimini on anything but the 20SSV, and even then, only at the boat show. It looks like a pretty easy install, but not sure of how much more coverage you can get from it.

I have the regular on my '06 and love it.

Naw, It's awesome and he was great to deal with.

That is what I am wondering is do they provide much coverage. I am just tired of all the poles and straps.

db

insuranceman. I have it and it's pretty sweet. It provides awesome coverage and the really cool thing is I have the Rubicon 350's mounted and it totally protects them from the suns rays preventing any discoloration. Only downside is what Diggs said about mounting tower lights on top.

Tower lights serve no purpose IMO, but if you did figure out a way to mount them above the bimini it would really cut down on glare, almost to the point that they might be useful.

I have seen them, and I don't think you would get near enough coverage because they are much taller. I have the regular one on my boat, and it even has height adjustments on it. IMO I don't like the tower mounted bimini, that's why I bought the regular one.
