I believe they are putting all their momentum into their new next generation of boards. The previous line was produced in South Africa, and manufactured with polyurethane cores and polyester resin/fiberglass lamination, like 90ish% of the surfboards around the world. The shape of those boards were based largely on Shred Stixx shapes. Again, I think they are only selling off what is left from 2011, but I could be wrong.
The next borrows from technology developed for/what became firewire surfboards. They are being produced in conjunction with Bert Burger (formerly firewire, now sunova). |
I rode the new Aibraze Next board a few weeks ago and it was great. The board I rode was a little big for me, but it was quick, agile and pretty easy to spin/air. I still did not like it as much as my original Fly Boy, but it was really close.
If I buy a new board, it will be this one. |
lakesurefer how would you compare the insland surfer flyboy to the airbraze next? Would you still take that production model over the airbraze next?

Note: The Airblaze is a much better looking board than the IS Fly Boy. Physically, the Airblaze looks amazing. |
