I have a 2001 Tige 23V that has a Faria Pilot Gauge on it. The depthfinder does not work, everything else works. Is their an attachment on the bottom of the boat that reads the depth? I dont know if am am missing it or not.

I had the same problem. Call Faria and they will walk you thru a system reset. This worked for me. Good luck.

Ok thanks man. Where is the piece on the boat that reads the depth?

on Centurions there is a plug in the hull so yours is probably the same, in other words I doubt there is anything off the back of your bost, it is probably mounted into a thru hull fitting by your drain.

do any of you guys know how to turn off the depth alarm?

If you go to http://www.faria-instruments.com/index-new.html,you can download the instruction manual for your gauge. The file name is IS0123B.pdf and there's a quick reference guide too -- IS0124B.pdf

By looking at the bottom of your picture you are missing the piece that attaches to the bracket or is it hidden in the photo? You should have a hockey puck with a paddle wheel on it hanging on the bracket at the bottom edge of the boat that reads depth and speed.

Lee,

I do have a paddlewheel that is under the boat, but it seems that it is just a paddlwheel, I dont see anything else.

Michael,
Thanks I have that refrence guide, you said there was a manual, I will have to search more for that on their site??

Thanks everyone!

Do you have anything attached to the bracket?

pierce_bronkite 08-05-2003 8:12 AM

I dont have anything attached to that bracket on the right corner of the boat. Is that what I am missing for the depthfinder?
rock_n_boardin 08-05-2003 8:17 AM

If you have a paddle wheel on the bottom of the boat and you have Perfect Pass that is probably what the paddle wheel is for.

You are missing the transducer and the paddle wheel that will snap into the bracket. It looks like the wire from the transducer to the pilot gauge is not there also.
