Do you have to have a nice tow rig to go with a nice boat (new 2008 Malibu)? Will the boat feel ashamed being pulled behind a 10 year old truck? I see a lot of nice tow rigs to go with a boat. I am thinking as long as it gets the boat to the ramp, down and up, all is good.

Lets see some not so stellar pics of a sweet boat, but a tow rig that could use some help.

When I bought my '02 malibu, I proceeded to purchase a '94 truck. I liked the old trucks so much more than the new ones.

When I first got my boat, I towed with a baby blue 1969 Ford Galaxy 500. The car would out tow any 1/2 ton truck and towed in many ways better than my 3/4 ton Suburban which has a big block also.

Looks are not everything and get what you can afford, especially in this economy.

I don't think anyone will be judging you while pulling a brand new boat. What they will probably be thinking is "Man that guy has his priorities straight". LOL..

+1 on getting on the water. Save your dough for gas and a new board or being able to bring your friends.

It doesn't matter what other people think or have, Enjoy your boat. HA HA HA, with a new boat they will not see your tow rig. All they will see is your nice new boat and wish they could have one. Enjoy!!!!!

I pulled my 82 Ski Nautique (not new but a good boat) with a 79 Mercury Grand Marquies station wagon. Woodgrain on the sides and all. It was a pretty classy ride. I then got a 92 Ford Flairside truck. I think I am the only flairside owner in the country that does not have a mullet.

I pretty much roll ghetto both ways but have a lot of fun doing it.

Guys,
I pull my new nautique 236 with a beat up 96 powerstroke. Has that typical 90's ford paint peeling off the hood. I will post picks soon. Gotta have your priorities right. Nothing like a 100k boat pulled by a $8500 truck.

Anyone remeber this poster?

Pull my 07 Bu with 2000 F-250 PSD, with 181K miles. Hard to justify getting rid of paid off tow rig. Lets see, new BMW, or new tow rig, easy enough.

Bryan I hate you. (mostly jealous but you really shouldn't come in here posting your sweet truck trying to make me feel that much worse about myself) One more of those posts and I might become suicidal.

My stable includes 82 Nautique, 92 Ford Flairside, 03 Dodge Neon, and 53 International truck that has no brakes right now. My dad has the 79 Merc wagon that I can usually borrow if I give him a $500 security deposit.

Nick that is a great poster.

Anyone need someone to work for them. I think I definitely need some more income to roll with this crew.

Pull my Star with the old mans '97 4.6 2wd F-150 some times. 320k miles and the thing just won't quit! i'll see if I can find a pic.

Take a look at my profile. We bought a new 05 Centurion and I have a 1990 Chevy C3500 1 ton with the 454 gas guzzeler. My wife and I both have company cars and we needed a tow truck to go 10miles to the lake. We got the truck for free from my father-in-law. We are so cheep.
