Yep, it's real wood. All mahogany. 540hp Indmar 6.2L supercharged, 2400lbs ballast, bow thruster....it has it all! StanCraft Custom Boats just finished. sick looking and the performance is unreal.

bill_airjunky 05-20-2011 4:02 PM

What a beauty!
I'd hate to take care of it. But I suppose if you can afford it, you don't have to.

timmyb 05-20-2011 4:57 PM

Wow! That's a great looking boat!

bftskir 05-20-2011 5:01 PM

I'd spray that thing with bedliner LOL

ian_ashton 05-20-2011 5:09 PM

I love it!

Was that on Lake CDA? Sure looked like it was.

riverman 05-20-2011 7:39 PM

lake Cd'A, boats are made there.

05mobiuslsv 05-20-2011 9:25 PM

Whats up Malibu.... looks beautiful.

bill_airjunky 05-20-2011 11:11 PM

Nice. You pegged that, Greg. Looks like their currently in CdA, and originally from Flathead in MT.

Hmmmm, wonder if they'll be at the wooden boat show at the resort this summer. I'm hopin to bring my wood SUP for a paddle around the marina that day.

really sweet lookin boat. Looks like stainless cabinets under the seats?

riverman 05-21-2011 11:06 AM

refrigerator - 12v/110v with the shorepower. no need for messy cooler.... :)

jason95gt 05-21-2011 11:19 AM

So they took a LSV and then put wood over the fiberglass or are they built from the ground up with wood and just used the LSV mold?

hatepain 05-21-2011 1:33 PM

Easily the sickest and most beautiful wake boat I have ever seen. That thing is pure class from bow to stern, I'm in love! Looks like they are rocking Exile/Samson on the tower.

leboeuf45 05-21-2011 3:53 PM

That is so dope! I would grind that wood wheel all over the lake, and then wipe it down with pledge after.

johnboyy7 05-21-2011 4:28 PM

very pretty. and wow its heavy, 5k lbs. i was surprised it wasnt more listed on the surf set up.

greg2 05-21-2011 4:32 PM

Nobody has asked so I will...cost?

kirk 05-21-2011 5:33 PM

Not sure of the cost on this one, but I know they make a classic 30' that sells in the 200K range.
Check this one out...

They are 100% wood, the only fiberglass on the boat is the bow thruster tube. Here are some shots of how this one was built. We have this particular boat sold at just under $250,000.....there is about $15,000 in stereo alone for this boat....over the top in every way....makes my daughter smile as you can see in the photo.

wakecumberland 05-21-2011 6:46 PM

My two loves finally meet! I want that.

spencerwm 05-21-2011 8:27 PM

I heard about this boat. Looks like it was modeled after a Malibu 247 LSV. I would love to have this boat. Simply amazing.

hunter660 05-22-2011 6:46 AM

WOW! I don't know what else to say.

brycejb328 05-22-2011 7:19 AM

thats craftsmanship in every sense of the word... these guys really care about what they build... looks amazing.

taft 05-22-2011 7:49 AM

Absolute beaut!

bruizza 05-22-2011 9:12 AM

Beautiful boat!

humboldt9 05-22-2011 9:37 AM

Don't you guys know that wood rots! All kidding aside, what a beautiful boat.

idaho_hillbilly 05-22-2011 10:28 AM

Stancraft makes the most amazing boats. I heard they were going to make a wakeboarding boat...and it looks 100% Stancraft. Knowing Stancraft, they didn't simulate any design.

If you have to ask "how much does it cost?" You can't afford it! :D

05mobiuslsv 05-22-2011 10:38 AM

Looks like malibu to me from the side profile to the sketch 100% malibu, more power to them. Best craftsmanship I've ever seen that's for sure.

apwrx 05-22-2011 12:03 PM

Absolutely beautiful wow!!!

greg2 05-22-2011 3:57 PM

There's no doubt that will always be out of my price range...unless I hit the lottery!

jon4pres 05-22-2011 6:21 PM

Wow. Beautiful.

jeff_mn 05-23-2011 5:59 AM

Absolutely gorgeous..

I'm going to order one of those with light creme vinyl and never even take a set behind it, just pimpin.

kirk 05-23-2011 7:51 AM

I think I would have named it

" Morning Wood"

I bet Lon could buy one with cash!

Beautiful boat. I hope it is at the wooden boat show on CD'A too.

wakeboardingdad 06-01-2011 8:33 PM

What? For real?

riverman 06-02-2011 7:19 AM

yes, it will be a MasterCraft boat built by StanCraft. Production may be as little as 5 and no more than 10. Defianately the X-series, and probably the 55. Should be very cool!

I still think it looks like a big turd on the water.

aarond0083 08-22-2011 8:21 PM

Very nice. I am definitely forwarding the pics to my wife's stepfather who in into antique wooden boats and part of a club in upstate NY. I was fortunate enough to take out an old Century and current model Hacker Craft out on Lake George, NY. Really cool experience for sure.

ixfe 08-22-2011 8:35 PM

I wonder if it's NMMA certified. If not, I'd never buy one. You never know when a non-certified boat might sink or something.

dukeno1 08-23-2011 5:11 AM

I can only imagine how much teak oil I would go through with that thing! :D

mhunter 08-23-2011 5:39 AM

Don't ever tell me how Nautiques are overpriced. Beautiful boat.

wakecumberland 08-23-2011 5:51 AM

I dont see much teak on that boat other than the platform, but you will need some varnish in a couple years. The old wood boats arent that difficult to maintain as long as you take care of them and dont leave it out in a field to rot.

Overpriced? Compare the man hours and price of materials it took to build the Stancraft vs a Nautique and then tell me which one is overpriced.

aarond0083 08-23-2011 6:39 AM

Here are some of the boats I was able to check out up close and personal on Lake George, NY thanks to my wife's step father. We even took a couple of them out on the lake. One of the Garwoods was a 1920s and had never been off Lake George. Still had the original Scripts big block in it (2nd and 3rd pics).

Aaron holy crap Lake George NY officially one of the cleanest lakes in the world.a beautiful place to board.I've been going there since i was a kid.Just got back from a week of boarding with my wife and sons and their girlfriends,we rent a house on the water with dock every year.I love to watch those wooden rockets cruising up and down the lake, sound so goodMy parents met there.Ever check out Adirondack Marine(Correct Craft) or castaway marina(Master Craft) dealers? They have a wakeboarding contest in the village there every July.My grandfather owned one of those wooden rockets don"t know what ever happened to it.We used to board in Lake Champlain VT but has become too toxic in our bay.Thank god for that jewel in the mts Lake George:) Vey special place indeed!!

ilikebeaverandboats 08-23-2011 4:51 PM

Lake George truly is a great lake to board on. Too bad you don't like Lake Champlain though. I live on the NY side of Lake Champlain and ride in there daily. The water is so clean here, if only I could fix the roughness issue....
We only get glass maybe twice a week ):

And those are some amazing boats, my neighbor has an old StanCraft that he likes to flaunt off every now and then.

slowwwflowww 08-23-2011 5:59 PM

Mike diddo on the chop,if we waited for butter even in our bay we would go out 3 or 4 times a ayear lake is just too big and parallel to north vs south winds that funnel through the valley along adirondacks. But lake george is protected on all sides.Champlain sounds like its cleaner on your side.Boarded a few times in open lake usually 2-4 ft waves.BTW didn't mean to hijack thread into a lake thread.

slowwwflowww 08-23-2011 6:12 PM

I do remember that my grandfather had a boathouse for his boat and used to take us out in it on Lake Oneonta NY:)

My wife and I live in NC. I've been out on Lake George just twice when visiting the inlaws up in Albany. Lake George is definitely a nice lake and has beautiful views...but I wouldn't say it's a better boarding lake than what I am used to here at home with Kerr. Unless it's early or late there seems to be a ton of boat traffic (large boats too) that rough the water up pretty good. Not many coves either (again compared to where I normally ride) so any amount of wind has the lake white capping.

That said, I would have loved to ride while there last time but noway am I pulling a boat a 700 miles to do so. There was a ski/wake school beside a restaurant we ate lunch at that had an X2 and another direct drive MasterCraft. They didn't have any wake skates and the prices were a little steep so it made it easier to resist the urge to ride.

Just joking about the teak oil....I lol'ed at the guy that said he would just rhino line it!
