I have no idea but it does look similar. Wasn't one of the guys from that company posting up on here several months ago?

If it wasn't someone from the company then it was someone on here that had seen these guys at a boat show. <BR> <BR>Before the comments start flying remember this is the wakeboat that everyone was asking for. No flash, great wake, and great price.

I have seen a Malibu and a Tige with a tower similar to this. It's just something different that some customers want.

Eesh the second one on the website is F'd up to bad too since its a great picture. I think what these guys are doing is great and I wish them well. That has to be the 2001 redone which is just what so many have wished for.

How about that POS Metcraft tower that came on Tiges &amp; Calabrias? They had the tow ball on the underside. And they looked dumb as hell.

The one with the Monster tower and wrap looks really good. I thought it was a restored 2001 with a different winshield at first. Anyone know the price tag? If it's a 2001 hull with 335hp they got a winner on their hands. Someone throw 2000lbs in it an get some wake photos.

Nevermind their press release in Waterski mag says MSRP just under $30k. Not bad little higher than I was thinking but a good looking boat none the less.

Ryan, <BR> <BR>From what I hear the boats are now coming with integrated (pure vert syle I think) ballast. I rode behind this boat a couple months ago (don't have pics on this comp) and it kicked an awesome wake. Definitely the best bang for your buck.

I like the backwards tower better, but it would be even better the other way around. That Monster tower looks like the old Titan "spider mounting your boat" not a good look IMO. Seems like you could get more area of the boat covered with a larger bimini with the original tower too. <BR> <BR>Sick little boat anyway, I'd rock one for sure.

Sanger did a few v210s and ZX Drivers with the F'd up tower configurations back in the late 90s. They had a few at the Pleasanton boat show, I thought how f'd up they were.

I just drove and rode behind this boat 2 weeks ago. It's a SOLID boat, and the wake is very similar to the 2001. I rode it with just 2 persons and about 1000lbs and that already gave a very nice wake. Phil, the builder/owner of Standard boats, surfed it with the same amount of ballast. <BR>I love the concept and might try to get one to Costa Rica.

From post I've seen the hull is a fresh start designed by the same head designer that did the 210 hull, so you could say that it shares allot of the finer points wake wise..

Interior looks like it was pulled from an early 90s toyota corolla. Loving the deck chair captains seat lol.

A ventilated seat is a pretty good idea methinks. It was pretty comfortable anyway, so no reason for complaints. <BR>Ballast: 800 lbs purevert or preplumbed pumps. Not sure if this is final, there might be other options in the future as well.

I like the boat and the idea overall, but I would want a higher windshield. That one seems too low and it ruins the lines of the boat for me. Looks like an old ProStar 190 windshield and I never liked them, they laid back too far.

You mean an early 90's Nautique?? While I agree there are a few improvements to be made, I dig that it looks retro. WOW... maybe I'll stick with a refurbed SN2001 w/perfect pass and a tower for a cool $8-10K.... and spend the other cash on cable passes for the next 17 years. Geez... I was thinking $15-20K would be reasonable.

I may be off on my numbers a bit, but the engine alone is $8k-$10k. Not many options for a cheaper engine that will allow them to use the single smart gauge. <BR> <BR>Add the hull cost, interior, ballast, PP, trailer, etc... things start to add up. <BR> <BR>You can get a no frills SN2001 in good condition for $9k, but not with PP and a tower. Even at that, they have been very few and far between this year.

Don't get me wriong, I wouldn't mind it being $15K, but unfortunately you have to be realistic. Sometimes.

Although I'm 8 weeks post-op ACL reconstruction, I was already planning on heading down to OWC for the weekend with a friend to get some footage... so I will document our ride and give a full review when I get back home. Should be interesting... big props to Phil for doing this!

My point 30Kmillie, was I can pickup cans along the side of the road, and make that payment. If (with 10K down)you can't make a less than $200 monthly tab, your failing at far more than just boating. No question there are great older boats, but that direction is not one that many maintain. Most of us, START with one of those, and then we move up. We have great memories of those sleds, but we still move on, we turn the page. Just like I will be doing with this thread (bored).
