Info on Props

I currently have a 2005 Supra 21V. It has approximately 2000lbs of ballast, lead and water. Would like to go to lower pitch prop, but can't afford to spend the $500 on an acme 1235. Is a prop pitched at 13x15.5 or 13x11.5 good enough, or will this not get me the whole shot I am looking for? Any help would be appreciated.

Cant you compare the above specs with the Acme 1235 specs and see where you're at? Just thinking out loud.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you can change the pitch (the 2nd number) but not the size(1st number) the acme 1235 is a 14.5x14.25. I don't know what your stock prop is but your probably going to want to stay with the same size and change the pitch to a lower number to get a better hole shot. So either the props you listed or the 1235 wouldn't work. Depends on your current prop.

supra

I have a supra 22ssv and just went from a 14x18 to a 14.25x14.5 and with 2000lbs of ballast and 8-10 people it comes out of the hole strong. THe 14x18 just didnt have enough low end to pull out. I dont think you will have a problem. Just make sure the extra size will clear your trailer.
