how much hp does it have?

tigerblp 05-13-2007 3:32 AM

it has 9 hp.... i've used them a bunch while out here in australia. they're really awesome. i find they work better than the grinch ones... like i've never had a problem with it not getting up to speed. i'd definitely reccomend buying one!

how do they go deep water starting?

tigerblp 05-13-2007 2:08 PM

actually.... i saw it deep water start a kid when we did a rail jam at an indoor swimming pool... and it worked. I don't recall having ever seen any of the ones from the states do that... at least not efficiently. it took him about 10 feet of space to get up, and then there was a bit of a tug as soon as he did get up, but he was able to ride it out and did it quite a few times. i was sure it was going to break, since i've never seen a winch deep water start someone before and actually get them up to speed, so i was really impressed.

Buy a Pimp Winch: just changed the name to Release Winch Systems... They are better than anything else out there. The winch is more powerful, looks better, and features a disengaging spool. No other winch comes close. There are a few different winch models. I have pics of 2 fully built, and 1 of just the frame: <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/450544.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/450545.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/450546.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR> <BR> <BR>Thanks, <BR> <BR>Ken Land <BR>Bullet Lines <BR>Release Winching Systems <BR><a href="http://www.bulletlines.com" target="_blank">www.bulletlines.com</a> <BR><a href="http://www.wakeboarding-winch.com" target="_blank">www.wakeboarding-winch.com</a>

th1nkabout1t 05-21-2007 8:17 AM

so, where would you go about buying this winch?

bulletlines 05-22-2007 4:21 PM

Kevin, <BR> <BR>The top and bottom winch picture have welded hitch mounts (just not in the bottom picture). The middle picture has a detachable hitch mount. <BR> <BR>A Johnson, <BR> <BR>You can order a winch on our website <a href="http://www.bulletlines.com" target="_blank">www.bulletlines.com</a>.
