I am 6'1" 160ish. Riding a 2003 absolute platinum 140. I would like to pick up a new board but haven't done a lot of research for a few years. I just wanted some people to throw out a few good ones to check out.

I'm looking for something with lots of pop and that lands soft. I like the pop and landings of my old board. I find it quite loose(which I like)but it might be too big of a board for me. I found it slow compared to some other boards I have tried. I wouldn't mind a bit more speed but don't want a rocket as I'm too old to relearn my riding style.

So what boards should I look at?

cwb marius has great pop, plenty of speed, and hard to beat softness in its landings. There are a lot of really good boards you can choose from for your riding style, but you can't go wrong with the marius

Slingshot Reflex
it has a progressive 3 stage rocker so it is faster than a pure-3-stage but not a rocket like many continuous boards.
The flex makes for very nice soft landings and SS boards are very fun and easy to butter around on

You could also try the LF shane and watson

How about the new absolute or transcend platinum. How will they stack up against my 03 ap.
