ghostrider_2 09-21-2009 8:21 PM

Is it? <BR>does the green show up really bright on sunny days?

jasonpav 09-21-2009 8:52 PM

Their lines work great from what I've experienced. I'm sure the green is easy enough to be seen.

liquidforcefan 09-21-2009 9:36 PM

I've had a problem with my handle sinking.

wakeslife 09-21-2009 9:38 PM

They're good. And they double as an anchor/seaweed catcher.

antoddio 09-21-2009 9:59 PM

Yup, always sinks on me. The plastic breaks on the end. On the plus side you rarely have to worry about fouling the rope in the prop when switching riders.

ksilva 09-21-2009 10:46 PM

Where can you pick one of these up for a good price?

ghostrider_2 09-22-2009 12:50 AM

don't really care about the handle I really just want the lime green line and its $30 cheaper than the liquid force envy. <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.wholesalemarine.com/pc/CWB-84100025/99990033/Connelly-CWB+Water+Sports/LG+Package+with+Neon+Green+Mainline.html#" target="_blank">http://www.wholesalemarine.com/pc/CWB-84100025/99990033/Connelly-CWB+Water+Sports/LG+Package+with+Neon+Green+Mainline.html#</a>

ghostrider_2 09-22-2009 12:52 AM

do they seriously suck, or you guys just f'ing with me?

dudeman 09-22-2009 2:36 AM

Mine sinks like a brick.

sbt3 09-22-2009 4:29 AM

It's an awesome handle but it does always sink like a brick. I've had 3 of them now and they all do the same thing. That is the only bad thing I can say about them.

dirwoody 09-22-2009 5:35 AM

Proline will warranty them if they sink

timmy 09-22-2009 5:39 AM

antoddio 09-22-2009 6:31 AM

They don't sink when you are moving usually. <BR> <BR>Honestly I think I might prefer it sinking. My buddies rope floats and we always have to coil it up when the boat is stopped. This one just goes straight down.

chris4x4gill2 09-22-2009 6:35 AM

Does the Answer handle have the same problem with sinking? <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.wholesalemarine.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/CWB-84100002_med.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.wholesalemarine.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/CWB-84100002_med.jpg</a>

chaser 09-22-2009 7:11 AM

I've had 2 proline LG handles. Both sink. I did stuff pieces of foam noodle into one of the handles and it floats most of the day, but by the end of the day it is sinking a little. That being said, I just ordered my 3rd LG handle because I really like everything else about them. I ordered an 09 cause it was half off. The 2010 handles look really nice.

chris4x4gill2 09-22-2009 7:24 AM

is the sinking due to water getting into the handle? could it be re-sealed with silicone or something similar? Or more trouble than its worth?

dabell 09-22-2009 7:29 AM

Yes, water gets into the handle but the 2010 line has solved this issue from what I have heard. $.02

helinut 09-22-2009 7:32 AM

The LGS is supposed to float. I'm still waiting for one to come in...

eubanks01 09-22-2009 8:03 AM

Sink like a brick. They won't warranty it if it is more than 1 year old BTW. Good feeling grip but quality is a little suspect. I've owned 4 and all of them have torn up within a few uses. <BR> <BR>Can't speak for the line.

jarrod 09-22-2009 8:17 AM

Love mine, haven't ridden with anything else since they were first made. I've had 2 of them in 4 seasons. Mine have lasted. <BR> <BR>Mine sinks a little I guess, I've never understood how that mattered. I grab the line, eventually the handle comes around....hit it. No big deal.

antoddio 09-22-2009 8:39 AM

The plastic/vinyl on the end cracks letting in water. I think mine was either cracked when I got it or on first use. It's def a design problem. Even if you get it warratied, i highly doubt the next one wouldn't do that same thing. You could prob glue the end and it wouldn't sink, but then again I like when it sinks.

romes 09-22-2009 8:48 AM

just fill it up with some expanding foam insulator and it wont sink

innov8 09-22-2009 8:59 AM

Only handle I will use, I have tried others, but nothing compares to an LG IMO.

allen 09-22-2009 9:57 AM

My 10 LGS doesn't sink

dlwsrider 09-22-2009 10:15 AM

I owned the handle for about 4 months. The grip wrapped up so much id have 6 to 8 blood blisters at a time on my hands after I rode. <BR> <BR>Wait till late October. Ronix is releasing some handles that will blow your mind.

romes 09-22-2009 10:27 AM

no need for <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/uhoh.gif" border=0> i wasnt cuttin you up...you are lucky i keep tryna warranty mine and they keep sending me the <font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font><font color="ff0000">•</font> '09 one that twists in 2 sets

zeketheplumber 09-22-2009 10:44 AM

Is the LG available in different diameters or are they all the same. When I bought mine it seemed large but I got used to it. I didn't know if it is just a wake vs. ski handle difference.

allen 09-22-2009 11:08 AM

The LG comes in many different diameters and grip patterns. Not quite sure how many. My LGS has a square pattern stitched into it. It is also the thickest handle I have ever had. Works great for me. I just switched this year and now I am wondering why I waited so long.

allen 09-22-2009 11:10 AM

green shows up pretty good <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/736367.jpg" alt="Upload">

joshugan 09-22-2009 11:20 AM

Sink like a brick? That is some gross hyperbole from you folks. <BR> <BR>I've had the LG handle and thought it was great. It sank but certainly not like a brick. And it isn't hard to get it. Boat comes around, grab the line, and you end up with the handle in your hand. <BR> <BR>Great handle, imo!

nickdakoolkat 09-22-2009 11:27 AM

i like they way they feel, but none of mine held up very well... i had it warrantied 3 times but the outter layer always tore off from the handle where i gripped it

thedoubleupkid 09-22-2009 11:56 AM

bboozer 09-22-2009 11:57 AM

Mine was good for a while and late in the day the handle would start to sink, but not like a brick. I bought some Great Stuff foam, and pulled the caps off and shot a little in each end, and the problem was solved. But, after 3 years, mine is worn out on the grip and I am going to get a '10 one for Christmas...

thedoubleupkid 09-22-2009 12:09 PM

Look for the new 2010 Proline LGS ad in your next Alliance! <BR> <BR>I've done my best to perfect the LG w/ the LGS. The new bar is super light. Hold a 09' vs an 10' and you can feel the difference in weight. This has helped w/ the sinking issue. Also, I have sealed the bar so it is bouyant. Using foam/floats etc weighs your handle down. The stitching has not only added extra texture and friction it has made the grip super durable. No more bunching problems which lead to rips in the LG material. The EVA and LG are stitched together, not just glued, like everyone else! I first I thought it could be a warranty problem, after about of year of testing, the stitching has added more life to the handle. I hope this helped. Thanks - Casey @ Proline

thedoubleupkid 09-22-2009 12:13 PM

2010 LGS diameters from large to small: Parallel, Square, Diamond.

eubanks01 09-22-2009 12:21 PM

What happened to my new handle Casey you were sending me after Expo? <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/wink.gif" border=0>

wakemikey 09-22-2009 12:36 PM

Hey thedoubleupkid! I just got an 08 LG-Triangle! I really like it and the shape is great. It does slowly sink but it isn't a big deal. <BR> <BR>My question: Does Proline have any thoughts on anti-roll handles or any other method of making the handle support bars stiff? I notice this is a common trend for other companies but the LGs are noodle armed. Again not a bad thing - just curious to your thoughts and others thoughts! Thanks!

sbt3 09-22-2009 12:49 PM

The sinking handle may not be a problem for most of you who ride deep, weed free lakes. Where I ride the bay is 10-15 feet deep and the weeds are 5 feet below the surface so between rides if you don't pull the handle in right away it's got about 5lbs of weed all full of zebra muscles attached to it. It really sucks.

ghostrider_2 09-22-2009 12:57 PM

allen thanks for the picture of "in use" thats what I needed, as I said I have my favorite hande, Accurate-Murray-white and very plush, getting old but I think it still as another season or 2 left.

steezyshots 09-22-2009 1:07 PM

The Orange was SUPER bright too!

downfortheride 09-22-2009 1:15 PM

We ride the shallow water from 10 - 6' and never had a problem with the handle. We make it a point (no matter which line and handle) to bring in the handle if the rider is done with his/her set. Bringing the handle back to the rider is no problem and the handle stays on top of the water. LG is a sick set up and it's crazy bright! <BR> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/736394.jpg" alt="Upload">

timmy 09-22-2009 1:31 PM

Again, it would be super simple to slide on the float that I linked earlier on to the rope. It would look like this: <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.waterskiworld.com/skihandlesropes/Masterline_WaterSki_Ropes/a_EVAWakeSlalom-copy_resize.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.waterskiworld.com/skihandlesropes/Masterline_WaterSki_Ropes/a_EVAWakeSlalom-copy_resize.jpg</a> <BR> <BR>Problem solved.

showmedonttellme 09-22-2009 1:49 PM

Most handles sink, thats why you grab it when the boat comes around lol. All the CWB guys had the LGs out this weekend and I thought they were dope!!!

thedoubleupkid 09-22-2009 1:53 PM

I'm ok w/ anti-roll, and I have it locked in for 2011. Does everyone feel the difference between AR and not? Do you ride better? Honestly, I don't know - zero team guys demand it. W/ the resurgence of wrapped handles you dont want AR/fixed bars to get in the way. I go thru the mags each month and look for photos w/ AR - and it's easily less than 20% more like 10%. I try to focus on (#1) -> grips, bar shapes, weight, and overall function. Your first impression is everything and as you grab for the handle off the shelf - if it feels comfortable, tacky, super light, and does what you want, then I have succeeded.

helinut 09-22-2009 2:09 PM

Don't make me call you a liar Casey. My board shop has been waiting for them for 3 weeks! <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0> He's calling you now! <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

eaglejackson 09-22-2009 2:42 PM

Casey, which LGS diameter is similar to the LG1? Which pattern would that be? <BR> <BR>Also, is the black LG1 the same diameter as the white LG1? I would have thought so but... We've been riding with a white one but it died (twisted grip, bunched, and then tore). We switched to a new black LG1 but it felt a little smaller in the hand, so switched back to an older white LG1 I had. I haven't measured the two to see if there is really a difference or not.

thedoubleupkid 09-22-2009 3:10 PM

LGS Green/Black or Blue/White Diamond. White or Blk should not make a difference in dia.

wakemikey 09-22-2009 3:16 PM

I meant to say 09 LGT and personally I can't say I really notice a difference. Great point on wrap tricks. Thanks!

bogartsomeday 09-22-2009 5:12 PM
