2nd Board to go with TFD
I am currently riding an older Hyperlite TFD. I would like to add a 2nd board to my quiver. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would like something that will ride significantly different. I am an intermediate rider and looking for a fun, forgiving shape.

I would say the CWB Vibe (or another hybrid/flex board). I am speaking from experience on the Vibe. Super fun!!

I started out on an 03 TFD. Then moved to an 08 shane which I really liked. Recently I got a great deal on an 08 SS Response...I'd been watching for a good deal on one for a while cuz I wanted to see what all this flex stuff was about. Gotta say, I'm not sure I'll ever ride anything but flex ever again. Board is crazy fun. Super fast. Very forgiving on the landings. Nice and loose when you want it to be. It took me just a couple sets to figure out the pop but other than that I settled in on it straigt away. Try flex - that's my $.02.

I like the idea of going with Flex. The first time I ever road the TFD was on a wood core model and it was excillent. I have riden the roams and they are a blast but I don't have any rails in site for miles!

I went from my TFD to the Marek, it was a really smooth transition.

Going to the b-side. best board ive ever ridden.

watson hybrid. do it

I am starting to lean towards a Watson or Witness.

2nd the Hybrid ;) Mad fun

I have the b-side and vibe.... By bside has not been ridden since I picked up the Vibe. If you are a good rider and truly know how to edge, get the Vibe and pull the fins. You will never go back

I went with a Watson. Thanks for the help.

Awesome buddy! Did you get to demo before buying?
|
Actually I got to demo an S4 and liked it. I knew I could get a good deal on an 09 Watson. The LF reps told me the Watson Classic was the most similar board to the S4, plus it has the option of a center fin, so I went with it. I'll know in a week if it is a good deal.
