I am going out on an 08 x-45 with a new "wakeboat" owner.

Curious what rope length... I ride behind an x-star at 24-25 at 80', but that has approx. #3000 in it.

Is that X-45 wake wider? It has only the stock #1200 that I plan on filling up... no sacks or lead.

Fill up all ballast full? rears half and bow full?

I will only have a short time to ride, so I want to get it right from the start... thank you.

How many people going with you?

I'd start fully tanked. Try to go why'll the gas tank is full too by being one of the first riders. Make sure the trim tab is up and let water out of the rear tanks if needed. I think 75' is a good length with no additional ballast besides stock, well then again, if you have 12+ people going you'll be dancing at 80'.

i have ridin behind a couple and the wake is actually pretty narrow out at 80 suprisingly. have fun with it. i dont like the wake too much. especially with the trip tab. that thing sucks

Full ballast. Try to get some people in the bow, it cleans up the wake at longer lengths. 75-80 is good at 23mph. NO TRIM.
Have fun!!

It is always best with out any trim. Stock ballast @70 ft and 22.5-23 is perfect. But it also depends on the engine. We don't have the best engine so we don't ride with more then the stock ballast weight. I guess another example of when a boat salesmen is trying to complete a sale.

thanks for all ur input.

It looks like we will have 5 adults... I think I will try 24 @ 75' as a start. And def. full ballast. New boat owner, new boat, new riders except myself. should be fun... and interesting.
