Pop bags or Equiv

Looking for some pop bags or similar to move around on floor. Where is everybody getting them these days. I have regular lead, but looking for 150-250 Lbs in moveable bags.

these bags rock. soft pellets not solid so you don't need to worry about smashing a toe. I use 15 of them

The pop bags are a joke IMO. Bigger bags with less weight since they don't use lead.

I just bought 4 of the 50lb bags from Lead Wake. Good quality and a couple bucks cheaper shipped than that Bomb Wake bags, plus I like the handle design better.

Leadwake I have 6 of them and they are great.

Another vote for Bomb Wake. Great product put out by people who do so much for the watersports community.

Yup, Lead-Wake.. have 800 lbs of it in my boat... so much better than Pop-bags, not even in the same category, IMO.

Out of curiosity, what's wrong with filling up those 150lbs fly high or 125lbs sumo bags? They're really quick to fill and fairly easy to move around

- Way bigger than the lead bags
- All my ballast is plumbed to switches. No way I'm ever throwing pumps over the side ever again - that sucks
- Can't stuff those little sacks into the places you can stuff lead

Lead shouldn't be your primary weight source but just something that lets you tweak the wake as needed.

buffalow 09-12-2013 7:30 AM

I already have lead throughout the boat. I have done the fat sack thing for 20 years and just over it. The wake is large already and just need to shift a bit left or right. In my case i weigh 300 lbs and the person next to me may be 100-150, that's going to tweak the wake just a bit, so the portable bags fix that. Than when I ride the driver and rider are much closer in weight so the pop bags move back. That's all, not a big deal.

Checking out Bomb and Leadwake, both appear to be great options.

Thanx guys

Do you guys leave your lead in the boat all the time or take it out?
