On or off? I'm just learning to board and don't have the fins on my 08 Ibex. Which way is better?

I'd say keep them off considering it will help you cut properly, but I have never ridden an Ibex so I guess it's more up to how that board rides and how loose it is in general.

(Message edited by homedawg678 on June 29, 2009)

put them on if you like it locked in take them off if you dont..... if your just startin i would say put them on that way its not slick for you.... i ride an 08 ibex 144 and keep them on... but i cant stand a lose board...

Just starting out, I would keep the stock fins on. After a while I would step down to .8 or .7 fins.

I have my fins on right now and it is just slightly too locked for me, will probably step them down a size soon. I would suggest keeping them on until you feel they limit you in some areas. By that time you will also know if you want to take them right off or if you just want smaller ones.

I rode it finless when I was on it... but thats mainly because I popped them off at the cable, lost them, and never wanted to buy new ones

I say leave them on if you're new. Ibex has basically no molded fins and without the bolt-on's rides super loose.

I thought the 1.0 fins made it ride too tight, so I go with the smaller fins from hyperlite. I think Ronix now makes smaller fins too.

Ronix does make .8" fins... I saw them today at Texas Mastercraft.
