Turned my ankle pretty bad last fall, and just rode for the first time this spring. I have some 03' Byerly's and they are pretty nice, but the usual stitching around the BOA's is beginning to form. I like them alot, but seem to have some problems getting them tight to the point where I feel really good about the ankle support.

Anyone got the new Temets?? How's the support?? How about the top BOA?? Are they the Bling for the dough, or just posing??
Myself and some others talked about the Temets a bit in this post: http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/101454.html?1079480499

Basically...I like the top BOA...it really grabs the area around your lower shin/upper ankle. If you crank down on the option 2 strap your heel won't budge a bit. I couldnt get the laces over the toes quite as tight as I would have liked, but overall I like the bindings a lot. It's kind of a pain to get into because you have to pull the laces tight, then crank downt he BOA, then fix the strap.

fyi...i demo'd the Temets for 2 days...I normally ride 03 Byerly's like you (I was demo-ing temets because my Byerlys were gettin warranty work done, go figure)

I don't think the Temets will hold up any better than the Byerly's...Temets appear to have some week points where I think the stitching will start to come undone like the Byerly's.

I was trying an S-bend and took a nasty fall...My right foot came like half way out of the binding and it tweaked my foot/ankle a little. I think if I would have had my Byerly's on my foot would have popped out and I would have been ok, but the Temets held me a lot more at the heel and upper ankle so it only let my foot come half way out which was bad.

Not that I want my feet popping out of bindigns, but when you take a really hard fall I'd rather have my feet come out and twist up my ankles.

Hey I have the new Temets and they are awesome and I broke my leg 2years ago and I had the parks they are nice but I needed that extra support in my leg so I switched to the Temetes and wont get anything else they give so much support you will have all the ankle support you need I would definitely get them

Thanks guys, definately something to consider now that the ligaments in my ankle are permenantly stretched and torn. I will have to demo them. I feel like the Byerly's could be a bit tighter around my injured ankle, but those were the first runs of the year. Overall I really like the Byerly binding, aside from the stitching coming apart.

Thanks again.

Yeah I'm kinda po'd about Hyperlites quality of their bindings. I love my TFD board, but I'm thinking about going for some LF bindings next time around.

Hyperlite is really good about their warranty, though it's a pain to have to send your stuff in for repair.
