Hey, I'm a beginner ... and I enjoy reading all these tricks that you all tell beginners like myself to try, but when you just say the name of the trick, and don't explain what it actually is .. that sucks. lol <BR>I was just wondering if someone can explain to me a few of the n00b tricks that beginners should try. I'm interested in doing slides (i don't really know what a slide is .. but i hear they are fairly easy), ollies (don't know either), surface tricks (if anyone wants to explain how to do them), and of course, what everyone wants ... big air. I don't really wanna hit 40 feet tho ... I just wanna build technique, and I was wondering any ways that are helpful to build technique on jumping the wake (i think it's called w2w), and getting enough height to do 360s and stuff like that. <BR>Thanks for your time and effort. <BR>Lates, <BR>~Matty

hey, <BR> Ok before i start get confortable. ok ill teach u a couple beginner tricks. first of all in beginner words Grinding the wake aka butterslide. to do a Butterslide u want to get up on the edge of the wake and just push ur back foot foward towards the boat and lean back. you want to spin ur foot quickly so ur fins can release. and then just lean back and ride the wake. --------- to clear the wake or get more air u want to cut about 15 feet out away from the boat and start a progessive edge (progessive edge= start with 10% energy on edge of board and at the wake u should have the most energy pushing down on the edge) u want to edge all the way threw the wake and DONT FLATEN OUT. if u flaten out ur board will pop up in ur face and it looks retarded<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0> and at the bottom of the wake u want to stand up tall and dont move and u will be flying threw the air.
