I just relocated to San Antonio from Iowa a couple months ago and finally situated eneough to ride is any one still using Medina? how about Dunlap? I read dunlaps regulations and it sounds like they are no ballast? thanks for any help!

I ride on Lake McQueeney which is only 10-15 minutes North of San Antonio. It's a part of the Guadalupe River. The lake is not very big and not conducive to rollers as most of it is lined by bulkhead, although you can catch great water late in the afternoon or sunrise-10 a.m.'ish.

There is always Texas Ski Ranch which is only ~30 minutes from S.A. if you're into riding cable.

I ride dunlap almost exclusively with 2000lbs ballast. The last couple of years it was the perfect lake, but this year we have had more traffic than I have ever seen before.

We ride year round

Medina is good if you know where to go

Canyon sucks ass

McQueeny is to small, to full of kids on jet skis

Placid is OK, but its very small.

check www.360wakeboard.com for the austin area club and www.texaswakeboarders.com for the San Antonio area club.
