Before anyone has a hissyfit...I am not bashing or complaining about the Cells or Ronix (i think i remember seeing a thread earlier that got a little heated over this same issue). I'm just posting some pics of what happened. I plan on going to the shop and getting them replaced with the exact same thing. This happened after a pretty hard raley crash. <BR> <BR>The clips that attach the extra lace string on the backside loop also broke on both bindings earlier this season on a botched 360 to back plant. They were both replaced free of charge. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/458269.jpg" alt="1"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/458270.jpg" alt="2"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/458271.jpg" alt="3"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/458272.jpg" alt="4">

Looks to me like these binding just won't let your foot go. Intution liners- a little too form fitting. What does anyone think?

I think if that hadn't have gone a body part would have. Many have brought up closed toes being the reason for boards breaking due to more torque and pressure. Closed toes are that much better, crashes are going to break something. I'm beginning to worry about my knees and ankles.........

ironj32 06-05-2007 7:25 AM

they really don't.

ronnyboy27 06-05-2007 7:30 AM

I would rather break equipment than body parts. <BR> <BR>Break out the popcorn cause here it comes.

ironj32 06-05-2007 7:34 AM

I agree. I have taken a ton of hard crashes and have only been totally ejected out of these three times. <BR>Huge D-Up to back plant <BR>360 to back plant <BR>Raley to...who know's.

aarond0083 06-05-2007 7:45 AM

Wow. Must have been a pretty good crash. No damage to the board at all? <BR> <BR>I have yet to come out of my ONE boots after riding them for about three months. I will not be surprised if I break another board before the season is over.

ironj32 06-05-2007 7:49 AM

nope, no damage to the board. unfortunately we didn't have the video camera going.

Liquid Force Ultras..release on almost every hard crash

I popped the liner out of my Ronix Ones last weekend. Im going to Copes today to let them know... I dont think it would be that bad if they didnt glue them down. If they were not glued down and they popped out I wouldnt mind. The problem is that since they are glued down they do damage to the liner when you pop out. <BR> <BR>As for the string clips... I had mine pop off too... I opened them up and they just have the ends of the string in a little pressure clip or something, I dont think it was attached properly. I fixed it with a good-old fishermans knot! <BR> <BR>I love these bindings, despite the issues I've had with them... I couldn't be happier

jusstty 06-05-2007 9:11 AM

I love my cells!

ironj32 06-05-2007 9:26 AM

i got a feeling that the shop is going to tell me they have to send them in to see if they will replace them or repair them...which means i have no bindings for like two weeks, which would suck! if that is the case i'll probably try and put the liner back in and ride them as long as i can. <BR> <BR>Mark C - have you ridin your Ones since yours came out?

jenk2board 06-05-2007 9:40 AM

The liner came out of my right foot on my ronix ones last week on a hard fall. I didn't want to be without bindings either, so I just put it back in. All is well. Hasn't come out again yet...

ironj32 06-05-2007 9:44 AM

sounds like Ronix needs amateurs like us that beat the piss out of them selves to test out their products, instead of Pro's that land everything.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/lol.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by ironj32 on June 05, 2007)

I just got the cells and yeah they have alot of suction, but i would much rather have a boot with a lot of suction, made from light weight material, very comfortbable, and have a company who backs mis-haps like these to the fullest. Things happen, just send it in and come back happier.

kottonm0uthking4 06-05-2007 10:36 AM

I think this whole CT movement will discover new problems like this. Things like threads ripping out, or liners popping out will happen when your foot doesnt release! Its all good tho.. i got everything replaced. Go Ronix! lol

Just talked to my friend at the shop...he said come on in and he'll swap em out. saweeeet.

I have only come out of my One's once, and it twisted my abs and knees, sucks getting old.

ord27 06-05-2007 11:42 AM

ironj32 06-06-2007 5:17 AM

ironj32 06-11-2007 8:38 PM

ok. haven't even had these a week and my new pair did the same thing! Ron1x definately needs to address this issue for their '08 gear. same damn trick too...Raley to...face plant.
