There are several good lakes around and a very active wakeboarding community. Check out dallaswakeboarding.com

I'm in Irving - closest lake is Grapevine @ 20min from central Irving. Great for sunrise sets, but can be a mess once the wallies come out. Weekends are out for riding after 10am (if not earlier).

Lewisville lake is 30min and has a number of options (bigger lake).

Lake Worth is 40min, Hubbard is 45-50min, Joe Pool is 35min.

There are a lot of lake options in the DFW area.

What, no shout out to the greatest lake in Texas? Lake Lavon! Thanks for keeping it a secret for us.

Oh yes, and Lavon...

'bout 70min from Irving. But if I'm gonna drive that far, you know where I'm driving to...
