Keeping batteries charged without power?

Just wondering what people do to keep their boat batteries charged if they store their boats at a mini storage without power hookups? Do you take your batteries home and charge them? I've thought about a solar panel but I doubt my storage would let me mount it to the roof. Anyway, just looking for ideas...

In that situation I would pull them and keep them at home.

I installed a built-in charger and charge in my driveway the night before I go out and try to charge again when I get back.

Same here, during the season I usually bring the boat home for a night so I can charge...During winter I will remove them and bring them home for monthly charges.

If it's cold the battery goes more dormant and will lose little energy if disconnected. Just charge it fully before you pur it away and charge it again when you take it out of storage. It should be fine.

Well The boat is stored near the launch which is about 25 minutes from my house so bringing it home before each ride is not an option. Looks like I'll be pulling the batteries every so often...

Uhh...your boat will charge it for your in the summer when you are using it. Just don't crank your tunes with the boat off for an hour straight right at the end of the day. Splitting hairs about charging them in the summer would probably yield you little extra life on your battery if any. Def not worth the hassle.

For winter, pull them and charge once a month.
