thought i had them dialed. WRONG!!! landed about 6 of them early last week. pop was good, axis was good, pull on the rope was there. last 2 times out. not even close. no pull on the rope, axis way off, looking down!! trick is really new for me. any tips people use to land these would help. when i was landing them, i focused on pulling the rope to my back hip and everything else seemed to come. 360 isnt that hard of a spin, maybe i'm thinking too much. i do that alot!!! maybe squids dry suit does have magical spinning powers

Your thinking too much, but while your thinking about it....LOL. Remember to keep your chest up off the wake. It'll help with your axis. Keep your edging smooth and light to help with line tension and wait for the pop before spinning. Don't worry, you'll get them back in no time.

More than likely, you are pulling too soon off the wake. Try to wait a little longer and see what happens...

^^ What Byrd said. Pop... wait... pull. Whenever I get yanked while doing a 3 I know it's because I'm hucking it and not waiting. You're right, the 360 isn't too much of a spin so don't throw it until you're at the top!

Keep both hands on the handle until you have the handle past your back hip (now in front) and at the small of your back. Think 180 with both hands on the handle from front hip to back hip and then it will be easy to find your handle pass and finish that last 180.

Yep what ^^^ said, wait a bit longer b4 pulling...remember pass to spin dont spin to pass! The closer you keep the handle to the small of your back the easier it is to find it. Tricks come and go in the beg. patience it'll come back.

Along with what everyone else has been saying, I believe that reaching for a mute grab helps to keep your axis, and forces you to wait until you have popped to start spinning.

travis is one of the spinning masters......

what was it in int hs3 ts3 switch hs 3 and soo on hahaha when are you comming back from school?

travis_briscoe 05-16-2006 4:27 PM

haha Ryan. I am cruising home on friday. I have learned a few new things, so maybe INT nationals will be a possibility.

Sorry about the hijack.

Spins can come and go several times before you say you "have them dialed"

You'll have them dialed once you have 20 under your belt. And still, you can loose them occassionally.

thanks for all your info!!!!

j-rod, still got the locker sacks if you need.

jdog, on Sat I think the wake was a little to big sorry about that. I know how to load her now. 3 people we use the cubes 5 people we don't need them. As for Sun I think you were rushed for time and thinking more about work than riding. For now on its better to pass on a pull then be rushed threw it. You will get them back your so close ya just need to take your time on the cut then pop and wait to spin, also you need to keep your head up. Oh ya I put a hex on ya you can't land the 360 till I get that HS 540 back.

OH YA HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT!!!

It was still killer to see you land them. Like J-rod said they will come and go somtimes thats just part of a 360. Thats why you see people doing more inverts than spins.
