Does anybody know anything about the 1997 Moomba Boomerang?
|
I have a 1991 which is the same as the later years as to my knowledge. What would you like to know about it? Its for sale too if your interested...

T-Bag, I think I found a good deal on one, but they just do not seem to be as common as the Nautiques and the Malibus. I was just curious as to why? I know that year was fuel injected. Is there any wood in the hull? I am looking for my first boat and I have a tight budget. Really I am just trying to educate myself and find the best deal possible.

I bought mine 2 years ago for $8500 and have put a pylon, bimini, and stereo in it. It is a fairly small, shallow hull so you have to be carefull driving it (to keep the waves from breaking over the bow). It puts out a really good clean wake that smooths out at higher speeds and is pretty lippy with weight in the back and 22 mph. Since it is light it is easy to tow behind anything. I am selling mine with trailer and acc. for $6500 if that helps you at all.

where are you located? I am in Texas. Got any pics?

My uncle has owned one since 1999. 600 plus hours with no major issues. Other than that, what T-Bag said.

I had a 98' Boomerang for 3 years. They are great starter boats and excellent skiiers. Very low freeboard and very little interior room. The best part about them is they handle like a Ferrari on the water-very, very, very fun to drive. If weighted they can put up a usable wakeboarding wake but nothing spectacular.
