need help on size vest

So I've been looking into picking up an O'Neill Gooru or Techno vest but am not sure on what size to get.

I'm roughly 5'11 and 145 pounds

If any of you have one and can recommend me a size that would be great, thanks!

I would say a medium. If you have a 30" to 32" waist the medium fits great. If you are around a 34" waist go with the large.

I tried the Techno on in both M and L in the UK this summer. In all honesty there was little difference. The medium was a little tighter but still thought it would ride up just as much as the L on a crash so thought I would go for L as it is a little easier to get on and off over a wetsuit. I am about a 43" chest at the moment.

Dang the new O'Neill vests are nasty sweet

thanks guys! I think I'm going with the medium, might be a little large since my chest is 36 inches but I won't have to get another vest for a while.

Thanks for the help!

I've never really understood why vests are sized by chest, instead of waist...

It's quite logical really.

I've found if you go by chest size, they are too loose around the waist. And since they are vests (no sleeves) you can usually fit in one that has a chest size that is smaller.
