Just was wondering what pro's are doing them and who aren't. <BR> <BR>I don't ever remember seeing byerly or murray doing them. I know parks, lavelle and shapiro do them.

hyperlitenrd 05-30-2007 9:57 AM

I think that most of them can do them, it just not in their tournament pass.

allen 05-30-2007 10:17 AM

Almost all can do them but you don't see em' do them in comps cause they really arn't that hard of a trick as compared to say a mobe of sorts. They are a cool trick because they can be done so big though. Its my favorite Trick

justinh 05-30-2007 11:02 AM

Line length, wake shape and boat speed have had a big effect on s-bends (and raleys in general). I doubt there are many, if any, pros that can't do them, but few make them look good any more. <BR> <BR>I've seen Byerly do them and I am pretty sure Murray too. Check out 24-7 (video circa 1997) <BR> <BR>Parks has done S-bends and vulcans no wake in a whip--gnarly. (Fluid 1996)

socalf150rider 05-30-2007 1:43 PM

any one do them with like a 7? that would be nut ball

johnm_ttu 05-30-2007 2:23 PM

I have seen a host of Pros do S-bends on the cable. Not very many seem to do S-bends in their pass agreed, but quite a few people do Batwings and those aren't very techincal either. <BR> <BR>Stehpanne Traan used to do double S-bends off the wake.

wakeriderixi 05-30-2007 7:08 PM

I think batwings are standard in most wake passes because it goes for the style points and gets that over with... Now your seeing them all the fakie as well.

craigr 05-30-2007 7:26 PM

i think jonathan nadolski's s-bends look better than most of the pros

05-30-2007 9:20 PM

Nadolski has sick huge S bends, in comp he usually does a vulcon with a grab on the way down. Thats what he did at Wakestock In Toronto, but Ike likes to start out usually with a massive Sbend which he can lay out like crazy. Ive been to wakestock the last 2 yrs and most a fair number of guys do S bends, batwing to blind is the staple trick as is a whirly 5.

wakedad33 05-30-2007 9:59 PM

"I think Jonathan Nadolski's S-bends look better then most of the pro's" <BR>Jonathan is a Pro men's rider.

ralph 05-30-2007 10:08 PM

Jeff W does a nice S-bend. Like everything he does super smooth.... <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/455848.jpg" alt="Upload">

Hey Jon (socalf150rider) there is a kid from here that has done a double S-Bend or whirly 7 or kinda a morph of both tricks. At anyrate was a raley based trick with two rotations. His name is Dustin, I don't remember the video but it came out last year sometime. I will come up with it in a little while.

clay_fraley 05-31-2007 9:10 AM

I think Gerry Nunn has one of the sickest S-bends! Ive seen a few in person and it is insane

innov8 05-31-2007 9:22 AM

Almost Famous is the vid Gene, Dustin Shows rides for my shop.

gene3x 05-31-2007 9:54 AM

Ahhhhh yea thanks I forgot. That is an impressive piece of riding.

bendow 05-31-2007 11:55 AM

I'm no pro but I landed my first s-bend yesterday, and stomped 2 more right after...so excited!

bulletlines 05-31-2007 7:21 PM

I think the biggest and most impressive S-Bend I've seen is by Tom Foshee. Tom rides pro behind the boat, but he is the world cable park champion. Some of the movies Under360 Productions does has Tom in them, and there are a few where Tom is doing 720 S-Bends. There is one clip where he is actually on the back of the boat talking and motioning with the handle above his head about how he rotates. I think Tom is the only rider that can do it on the cable. <BR> <BR>Ken Land <BR>Bullet Lines <BR><a href="http://www.bulletlines.com" target="_blank">www.bulletlines.com</a> <BR><a href="http://www.wakeboarding-winch.com" target="_blank">www.wakeboarding-winch.com</a>

wakeriderixi 05-31-2007 7:36 PM

video..........

bendow 05-31-2007 8:12 PM

actually Kenneth, Josh Rice is the world cable wakeboarding champion.

zuka666 05-31-2007 8:20 PM

I do em' off a double., behind a 96 MC prostar 190, 500 lbs of fatsac in the rear and sometimes a spotter in the passenger. Catch me behind the boat straight doin' and you'll witness my death

bulletlines 05-31-2007 9:03 PM

benjamin, <BR> <BR>your right Josh Rice is currently, but Tom has been before. <BR> <BR>thanks, <BR> <BR>Ken

cwb_fooguitarlz 05-31-2007 9:47 PM

is the S-Bend like a railey w/ a 360 in it?

fuller313 05-31-2007 10:00 PM

That is exactly what it is.

dlwsrider 06-01-2007 9:00 AM

Who was it that was going for triple S-bends at TSR and was getting close? <BR> <BR>i wanna say it was Fosheee but i might be wrong

jarrod 06-01-2007 9:04 AM

Allen has a legit S-bend too. (photo by Antbug) <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/456428.jpg" alt="Upload">

aarond0083 06-01-2007 9:25 AM

The late Mark Kenney could do a triple S-Bend on the cable. Here is a video of him stomping one. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eK9a4diF88g" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eK9a4diF88g</a> <BR> <BR>That kid was a sick rider on the cable and behind the boat.

innov8 06-01-2007 9:33 AM

Here is Dustin Shows on Almost Famous trick starts at about one minute 20 seconds on the trailer. <BR><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MtcuhDhazU" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MtcuhDhazU</a> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by innov8 on June 01, 2007)

<i>"I think Tom is the only rider that can do it on the cable. "</i> <BR> <BR>Do what? Double S-bends on the cable quite common. I've seen a couple double-S to blinds.

dnp33 06-01-2007 11:27 AM

i dont remember who it was, but someone from wakeworld posted a video of someone doing an s-bend (boat) it was the sickest one ive ever seen. i dont think ive ever seen anyone go so big before. hopefully someone remmebers the video im talking about. the guy was basically layed back on the water during his cut.

bendow 06-01-2007 1:12 PM

Kenneth, I wakeboard with both Josh and Tom at TSR quite a bit and I'm pretty sure Tom has never been the world cable wakeboarding champion. That's not to say he's not capable of it though...he kills it on the cable. <BR> <BR>David, here's that video you were talking about. It's Rob Mapp "The Cable Guy" <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.trufei.com/Videos/CableAble.wmv" target="_blank">http://www.trufei.com/Videos/CableAble.wmv</a>
