Need Some New Boardshorts

I've dropped from a 36 to a 34 and that means my considerable collection of boardshorts are now obsolete! :( Aside from the obvious choice of our fine WakeWorld Board Shorts, what recommendations do y'all have? I'm more into low key colors and designs, but you never know. Let me hear what you like!

Hurley Phantom 60's or Billabong Platinum X.....watch whiskeymilitia.com and you'll find some phantoms on there for like 20 bucks. Never wore Cires...They look to long for me..

As long as you get something stretchy you'll be happy. I couldn't imagine wearing the old board shorts...Stretch is the *****!!!!

game changers

downfortheride 03-22-2012 2:46 PM

JoLo_Si 03-22-2012 2:53 PM

Cire and Ten-80 get my vote. Although if you get Ten-80 go with one size smaller so if you're a 34 now, get a 32 in Ten-80. Keep in mind, when you go to the Ten-80 website and select a style of shorts to look at, each style has 3 color choices.

I got an email from Oakley yesterday about them selling stuff pretty cheap. Everything I saw was under $25.00. They had 4 way stretch shorts in black that I picked up. Don't know if you will find anything you like but it is worth checking out.

Cire!

eubanks01 03-23-2012 7:38 AM

Cire 4-way stretch.

xclay89x 03-23-2012 8:47 AM

Check out Bumrunners. I know that they do college boardshorts, but I am sure they would do custom shorts. They sponsor Texas Tech Wake and they are the best boardies I have ever owned. They are a long and have great 4-way stretch for a really low price compared to other stretch boardshorts. Here is the link for their website.

Hurley Phantom series

jarrod 03-23-2012 9:14 AM

Forget the big corporate giants.....CIRE!

Luker 03-23-2012 9:57 AM

I'd like to try the new Cire 4 ways... but for comfort... Rip Curl Mirage Flex Freelines are basically unmatched in my book. No better boardshort on the market if you ask me.

sidekicknicholas 03-23-2012 10:02 AM

CIRE!

Anything else is a mistake!

yeahhh 03-23-2012 10:51 AM

Now that they have some with stretch, ive been debating picking up a pair. If your board shorts arent stretchy you are SERIOUSLY missing out.

Hurley had it first and I can pick them up cheap online (whiskey), I have liked the diamond dobby stretch from quiksilver and the billabong platinum x stretch is sweet.

Arent the Cires really long? Thats my concern, Im a short guy!

They are a bit longer than most, but only an inch or so. enough to make em a bit more comfortable, but not swimming in them or looking like capris

all CIRE board shorts have a 12" inseam. just measure your favorite boardies and check the difference.

wakeborder5 03-26-2012 10:10 AM

Can anyone comment on how true-to-size the fits of Hurleys and Oakleys are?

silvermustang35 03-26-2012 10:39 AM

Cire without a doubt....

wakeworld 03-26-2012 12:39 PM

Got a package from Cire on the way! :)

detonate69 03-26-2012 12:43 PM

nice, if you got the 4 way stretches you'll never want anything else!

Jmaxymek 03-26-2012 3:48 PM

Gotta love Cire!

Walt 03-26-2012 5:06 PM

Cire or Cire.

MidwestStudmuffin 03-26-2012 8:45 PM

What makes Cire better than other brands? I was going to pick up some Hurley Phantoms but now I'm unsure.

1. Mine dry in a matter of minutes
2. The feel/comfort
3. The color choices, havent ran into one person w/ the same shorts as I locally. I always get compliments about how they look
4. I picked up 4 pair for $100

eubanks01 03-27-2012 7:15 AM

5. Supporting a small company that invests in wakeboarding.
6. 4 way stretch!

Jmaxymek 03-27-2012 9:00 AM

7. Something different! I see people wearing Hurley and Nike and Fox everywhere. You kinda get a feeling of superiority knowing your shorts aren't common.

JohnP 03-27-2012 5:20 PM

69 Slam has some cool stuff!

supratweaked 03-27-2012 8:24 PM

Late to the party, but you can never go wrong with CIRE. Great people great product. I just moved out of country and was very limited on what I could bring. Five (yes five) pairs came with me. As for being long, I am a short guy and think the lengh is perfect.

bcd 08-22-2012 7:00 AM

Cire 4 way stretch just went on sale for $30 a pair. I just ordered another pair.

simplej 08-22-2012 8:53 AM

Dunkelvolk all day!

02byerly132 08-22-2012 9:16 AM

If you like longer board shorts, ours are on sale for only $15. Two way stretch micro-suede. And we donate all the proceeds from the sale of each pair to the Wounded Warrior Project!

Check them out here: www.WakeClothing.com

saberworks 08-27-2012 9:03 AM

Are you guys punching your cc numbers into the cire website even though they don't have a secure/ssl connection? Makes me really nervous, won't do it.

hillbilly 08-27-2012 9:10 AM

^^^^^I did mine and have had no issues^^^^^

yeahhh 08-27-2012 9:26 AM

So far you're the first ive read saying No to Cire. I love the few pairs i have, been rocking them 2 seasons.

wakeworld 08-27-2012 9:50 AM

I love the 4-way stretch Cire's, but don't wear them in a jacuzzi. It's definitely a unique material. I probably spent way too much time in the jacuzzi at a party and the butt of my 4-Way stretch boardshorts was shredded. So sad. That was my favorite pair of shorts!

08-27-2012 9:54 AM

Who wears board shorts in a jacuzzi at a party? Last time i checked, the girls hanging out in the grotto were in their birthday suits:)

Hate to ask what was going on that led to that......there are replacements available!!!

wakedaveup 08-27-2012 12:18 PM

I picked up a pair of Rip Curl Mirage's and by far the most comfortable board shorts I have ever worn.. Then again.. I haven't tried the Cire's

tings00 08-28-2012 11:24 AM

So i ordered a pair of the Cire Grinders
http://www.cireboardshorts.com/compo...ysize=0&swap=0

and ended up receiving a pair of the ugliest shorts ever made, Chaos
http://www.cireboardshorts.com/compo...ysize=0&swap=0

I emailed them last night and this morning but have yet to receive a response. Did anyone else get the wrong order from them?

08-28-2012 11:41 AM

Thats hilarious lol

Theyre pretty good at getting back in touch with people.

spridle 08-30-2012 8:38 AM

+1 for Hurley Phantoms. I also really like the QS diamond stretchies.

jarrod 08-30-2012 9:35 AM

ugliest shorts ever! I love those, and purposely ordered a pair.

tings00 08-30-2012 10:18 AM

You have different taste than me. They are shipping me out my correct pair and said I could keep the other ones as well. Looks like i have my Halloween costume figured out.
