need new radio/head unit - bluetooth+droid
 

Well it appears my stock MB Quartz took a dump for no apparent reason, but the upside is that it gives me a reason to upgrade to something better.

Are there any head units on the market now that will display the artist/song on the headunit screen when streaming audio over bluetooth from MP3 or Pandora?

I have the droidx and just as last year I plan to use it for MP3/Pandora/Sirius but this year without the 3.5mm aux jack.

So Im looking for a radio that will #1 stream audio over bluetooth, #2 has at least 4v outs, and the rest really doesnt matter to much, would like HD radio standard, and would like to be able to display artist/song info on the screen as well.

what other good options are out there?

I have the 5700 and love the fact that while at the cove I can operate the head unit via Pandora from shore plue I think it has 5v outs

I love the JVC KD-R900 that I just got from Amazon for $150. It has 5V front, rear and sub preouts. It has TI/Burr-Brown 24-bit DAC, bluetooth, front and rear USB along with front aux in. It has some great features and sounds awesome. The only negative is it can be hard to read at times. I'd still buy it again though.

bump for more input

Blackberry makes a bluetooth gateway that is on ebay for like $15 ....

powers off USB and runs audio out into an AUX jack.... so you sync your device to the gateway and fire up your music - music streams from phone to gateway - then gateway to headunit via AUX.... might be an option if you find another headunit with other/better features (except bluetooth)

what are you bumping for in particular? Is there a question that hasn't been answered?

Just looking for more input on the units linked above, hopefully some people that have them, or have a unit that is not listed.

Does everyone run auto units instead of marine?
