How and Where are you mounting USB IPOD extension

Just curious where some of you are mounting your USB Ipod extensions when you have a rear USB headunit (Clarion m303).... I got this extension from crutchfield http://www.crutchfield.com/p_541USBC...ion-Cable.html

I am thinking of putting it in the console where the headunit is on my Tige 20i... drilling a hole somewhere in there. Any tips?

I bought one of these. http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

So far I have just run it to the passenger side. I'm thinking about either running it into the glove box or up though the bottom of one of the cupholders on that side.

ya i already got a cord... this cord will allow us to use either Ipod or Droid since its just USB... and I am wanting something that looks pretty clean but a cup holder might be a good temporary mount for us

Mine is to the right of my head unit in the glovebox in my tige 21i. I've got the clarion cmd6 HU and USB extension. Mine was just a 3/4" hole, pull the cord thru the hole and a backing nut that tightens the USB outlet onto the fiberglass.

I went in an open gauge with a 120v out let cover. I used a hole saw to cut out the left over plastic used to mount my head unit. With the the two pieces cut out I was able to sandwich it to the dash. The iPod connector fits inside and the USB plugs in the back of the head unit. I used a suction cup mount to hold my iPhone4s on the windshield. When not in use the iPod connector is out of the weather.
