it was good to see everyone out there, and it was awesome to see the place busy! I thought it was gonna be a ghost town, but all the booths were busy and product was being sold. Im not sure how boat sales were doing.

I talked to Randall about the Axis boats for a bit, I was more impressed than I expected. As we were walking over, my wife said, "Hey, how come that guy has the same tattoo as Randall Harris?"

I thought the show was much, much worse than last year's show. Most of the dealers this year didn't have half their boats on display and some companies, like Tige, weren't even represented (unless I missed something). Also, last year the show spanned multiple buildings, this year it was only one. Last year I had an absolute blast, but this year I was very bored.

On the upside, it was REALLY cool to meet Randy Harris. Made it more than worth it to endure the rest of the show.

Did anyone see that insane deal they were giving on that X-45? $100,000 base price - $30,000 boat show discount - $25,000 Mastercraft rebate = $45,000. If I could even think about affording a boat I would have jumped on that. It's gonna be a long year for boat dealers.

the rebate is a marketing gimmick. u wait 3 years, jump thru a bunch of hoops & they may give u back $25k. they're counting on u not having all of ur ducks in a row so they dont have to pay.
