board help please

I currently ride a 09 Liquid Force Venture 5'6" behind a Sanger V215. The wave is medium sized with great shape. I can ride without the rope no problem. I am looking for a new board, but I am not sure which style. I want something more aggressive than what I am riding now. I think I would prefer a surf style board, but not positive. I am looking at Inland Surfer or Grindwater. Which board do you guys recommend. I am 5-10 and weight 180. My father-in-law also needs to ride it (6-1, 190). He can ride without the rope, but our current board is much slower for him and he sometimes struggles riding ropeless. Any help is greatly appreciated.

i asked a similar question last week, most people will tell you go with Inland Surfer for sure, they make great boards for a variety of styles.

If you're looking to save a bit of money the Inland Surfer Mucus would be a good fit for an entry level surf style. Or if you want something a little more aggressive and responsive look at the Shred Stixx Piranha, the Walker Project F-18, or Soulcraft Jetty

Inland Surfer Swallow has filled the bill for us quite well. Also, wax your board with teflon wax and you will gain speed and control with the same effort. We have a Blue Lake as well that is a great board for all around riding but if ya want to progress try the Swallow out.

I rode the Mucus the other day and thought it was a great board. (Yes is was cold in Canada that day...lol)

Get a skim style Phase 5 and really enjoy the ride. I suggest the Razz
