You know, I wonder every day why I can't live out in California and be surrounded by wakeboarding, but you have to work with what you have. I've been riding at Lanier for a couple of years and haven't really found anyone else who want's to ride or at least rides frequently. Is anybody out there living up there this summer? I mean wakeboarding's fun anyway you do it, but its better when you've got a full boat (not to mention the wake's heavier). I just got a Tige 22V and I'd like to share in some wake to wake joy. Respond to the thread and let's get some groups together.

You might want to hit uphttp://www.wakeboardatlanta.com. I was just down there on vacation, and saw a least five different wakeboard boats during the week.

(Message edited by lumpy9138 on May 10, 2006)

Whats up guys,
I am getting ready to build a place on Sinclair up at Erin Shores. We just got our X-2 this year. We are heading up for Memorial Day and the week of the 4th of July. We are always up for a good time. Stop by if you see us. Such an awesome lake, we cant wait to get there!

Charles,

I live in Roswell, GA and ride at Lanier as much as I can...usually only about 1-2 times a month though...not as much as I would like to. I have a boat right now, but will possibly be selling in the next couple of months. I would be more than willing to go out and ride with you and your crew anytime and would be happy to throw in money for gas and help with the boat upkeep. Shoot me an email sometime (see my profile) whenever you would like to go out riding.

Later

saltyoysters 05-11-2006 8:48 AM

we try to ride each weekend and once during the week at sinclair ,
mark

I live in Buckhead and picked up my malibu about a month ago. If the weather is good, I am up on lanier about every weekend. I launch at Lazy Dayz and then from there go wherever. We are generally on the south side of the lake. I'm in a blue, white and black 23LSV.

Scotty

wakeboardqueen 05-11-2006 2:51 PM

Wow ook yeaaa!
dude im moving to erin shores / east lake area
soon
but right now i live on the other end of the lake
I live across from Oconee springs park ..yea its called oconee but its on sinclair
wakeboardqueen 05-11-2006 2:52 PM

Hey mark i see u live in the big town of SPARTA to !! hahahaha

cjluke 05-11-2006 8:21 PM

The drive from Macon is about 2 1/2 hours so its pretty rough. I'll be living there for the next couple of weeks, and I've got a friend who lives in Macon who might make the trip up.

Scotty - I'm up on the Northside of the lake at the beginning of the Chestatee river. You should come up and launch at toto creek in Dawsonville. I'd love to ride behind a Malibu, and you should see what the Tige can spit out.

saltyoysters 05-12-2006 5:30 AM

erin ,
i got a spot in senic shores off of holly harbor lane over by goat island . we could use another girl onboard because i think alisa feels intimidated since he is a beginner. let me know if you are in the area ready for a ride.

770 2654776
mark

bizzuck 05-22-2006 12:14 PM

there are tons of people on lanier that ride. as someone previously mentioned http://www.wakeboardatlanta.com

aden_g 05-22-2006 12:20 PM

"I just got a Tige 22V and I'd like to share in some wake to wake joy."

Oh man I wish I could hear that more often.

ai_rider 05-22-2006 1:09 PM

Hey Mark,
Im heading up to Sinclair this weekend and was wondering are there any on the water bars or restaurants where things could be going on for the holiday? your boat look awesome by the way! I will look for you on the water.

saltyoysters 05-22-2006 4:17 PM

choby's by the power plant , located on hwy 441. just pass the plant and it will be on the left. its not on the water but real close. boats all white with black stripe.

cyclonecj 05-24-2006 4:46 PM

I ride up there on the north end of Lanier not far from Gainesville Marina. There are two good coves up there. I'm in a blue and white Toyota Epic, if you see one, it's definitely me! Come say hi.

scottyr7 05-24-2006 6:22 PM

Is anyone going to be up on Lanier memorial day weekend. I am planning on being up in the six mile area all weekend.

wakeboardqueen 05-25-2006 8:36 PM

Brian Try Elmos Grill on east lake its reeallly good .

ai_rider 05-26-2006 4:50 AM

Hey Erin,
We are heading up there today finally! Its been too long since I have been to Sinclair. Bringing our new boat, fresh off its break-in period and oil change. We are staying at a little place at/near a point not too far from where the power lines cross the lake on the main channel. Look for our boat, and stop by if you like!

hype134 05-26-2006 6:29 AM

How far is sinclair from macon?

ai_rider 05-26-2006 7:03 AM

Rich,
Not far at all. Anywhere from 30-45 minutes. It really depends on where you go. My buddy who works for Mercer is coming to meet us there. Thats how long he said it takes to get to our place right there in Milledgeville.

saltyoysters 05-26-2006 11:29 AM

brian,
elmos , is for folks that likes fried food , but its new and clean , and i stay about 3 minutes away from their. i am not too far away either located by goat island ,
mark.

cyclonecj 05-26-2006 1:24 PM

Scotty,
6 mile will be a mess all weekend, as will the rest of the south end. You might try Young Deer Creek, but it will suck too. You gotta go north to get any good water.

project3060 05-26-2006 1:52 PM

The north end of the lake is packed with bass fishers. You really need to stay down at the south end of the lake for good water.

cyclonecj 05-26-2006 6:22 PM

That's fine Ray, have fun down there. I'll be up north with the glass and the bass.

bizzuck 05-26-2006 6:32 PM

the only good place to be on lanier this weekend is cocktail cove. make sure you sit close to the golf course and bring your airhorn.

project3060 05-26-2006 6:52 PM

I actually ride up in Gainesville but you don't want to advertise the good water conditions up on the north end of the lake

scottyr7 05-27-2006 5:50 AM

Yeah, I wasn't planing on doing a whole lot of riding all weekend because of the zoo that we call lake lanier. I have a friend with a lake house at six mile so I am normally just hanging around there and on their dock.

hype134 05-30-2006 4:22 AM

Brian,

How often do you ride? I'm going to mercer right now as well and dying for a ride... its been a few months now... let me know, i have gas money, own gear, help with the clean up, etc..

briand 05-30-2006 3:00 PM

sorry for the hijak, but does anyone here ride at blue ridge??

wakeboardqueen 05-31-2006 5:19 PM

Hey mark , i dropped my cell fone in the lake dude hahah im gettin a new one tho . sorry i didnt go out with you guys , I bummed a ride off so many people this weekend A Centurian , x-start , malibu and an SAN 210 all in the same weekend . broke a record i think...we will go out sometime , lets try for a weekday

briand 06-11-2006 5:35 PM

sam did you go? I thought it was pretty cool.

briand 06-12-2006 2:02 PM

oh yea, sam the lake that the contest was on used to be used for skiers for a long time, but now a few of the owners kids have gotten into wakeboarding, so they let them use it.

briand 06-13-2006 1:13 PM

has this post been abandoned?

snead 06-13-2006 4:45 PM

I was there. I was one of the guys announcing/driving/judging. We helped Andrew run the show.

wakeboardqueen 06-14-2006 5:12 PM

snead 06-17-2006 7:20 PM
