Try pullin it down to your front hip.

Wes I here you bro. I just started trying them this year, and I have the same problem only I land on my front and rack my nads every time. I swear there still floating out there on the lake somewhere.Sometimes I stargaze to, and land on my side and that knocks the wind out of you.

YES I AGREE
wes your hanging it out to long. As soon as you feel the snap from the rope or your arms go straight pull the handle down like your going to break it over your knee. Or you can do a 1 and 2 count. 1 when you leave the wake and then 2 pull the handle down. You rolling over or going kript is from two things. One you need like 60% weight on your front foot and 40% on your back. But if you are rolling over or drifting kript it sounds like your just hanging out to long. Hope that helps.

No right or wrong way, but when you stargaze a raley, it generally comes from having too much weight on your back foot on your approach, especially while going up the wake. Since there is no weight on your front foot, as soon as it hits the wake it will get sent into the air, and since your back foot is loaded with weight, it will stay behind until it leaves the top of the wake, hence the stargazer. Bend your front knee more on the approach and be patient for the top of the wake. Bending your knees equally will keep your hips centered over the board. Hope it helps. shaun

Appreciate the info it will come just like any other trick it just hurts like $#@&

look at the boat when you leave the wake. It will be super scarey at first, but it will straighten out your shoulders, which is why you are flying krypt. SO edge hard, stay square, hit the wake hard and fast, look at the boat (for a half a second), push raley, when it "snaps" pull the rope to your knees, spot your landing. Looking always helps, like when you do a 911 you have to look over the blind shoulder to get the movement. I bet you are spotting your landing from the second you hit the wake, thats what making you go krypt. Thats just instinct, when you start doing raleys you know its gunna hurt like hell and be super scarey, thats why every one looks at the landing. You really have to just trust you ability. Try it out let me know if it works, It has in every lesson I have ever given so far.

thanks everyone, does it cost money to get lessons from murray over the computer. haha sweet. but anyway im not really scared anymore of the trick because like duffy i have already lost my nuts on other tricks so i just say screw it. i think im used to seeing this trick being performed on wake movies where they slow the camera down so i guess i was expecting to float or something even though i was taking the one i did today super big. It just happens oh so fast.

Im like you wes I watch video and read posts and at the time I'm like that looks easy or I feel like I've really listened well and completely confident I'll land a new trick within a few attempts. So I cut out remember every thing Im suppose to, start edging in confident, and before I know it Im rolling threw the air or I cant get my board down.

remember two things:

1. balance off the wake
2. you body follows your head and eyes. Once you leave the wake, look straight ahead til you land. Keep them pointing straight ahead while you are learning. Dont turn your head to spot your landing.

I definitely agree with Wes and Jason. Looking at the boat right before takeoff and during the ENTIRE trick was the ONLY thing that helped me to land these. If I didn't, then I would either stargaze and land on the boys or flip over on my back...which is how you get hurt.
