I just got it and wanted to know how good it is?

wakegenie 02-24-2007 6:21 PM

it's awesome! I love that board got it new last year and it's 100x better than my last board...it felt allot slicker, and handled rough water pretty well. I only got to ride it like 4 times though ‘cause I got it so late in the season but I love it and can't wait to start riding it again, you made a good choice!

well know i feel better. i was riding the lotus for 2 years so thank you!!!

The Sapphire my favorite board I have ever ridden. It has extremely smooth landings so I don't have to worry about my legs or anything hurting if I land in the flatts or off double ups. It's also really easy to get a lot of pop off the wake. CWB made the Sapphire based off of the Pure, which a lot of the dudes really love to ride too. It's awesome how they made a board that lands so smooth but still lets you cut into the wake aggressively or however you want to. Good luck riding your new board June! And I hope you get to ride soon wakegenie!

Hey June, you say you rode the lotus for 2 years... i got the 2006 131 lotus last year only got to ride it 3 times, cuz it was late in the season. But how did you like it? I'm intermediate in skate/snowboarding, but a beginner in wakeboarding. Did I make a decent chose in a board for a beginner?

nhu fryhover-
I rode the CWB lotus 131 June through Nov, and LOVED it! I was a beginner on it and I progressed to clearing the wake, but have now decided I need a new board. It's a good one tho!

junebug 03-28-2007 11:53 AM

It's a great beginner board it really help me start jumping wakes. A good friend just got a new lotus. she's, really going to love it. I'm just going wake to wake a I thought the sapphire will help with me pop more.

Thanx Kristina and June for your response. One more thing, did you guys ride with or without your fins on? The next thing I want to learn is the surface 180. I heard that it's a whole lot easier if you take them off. Thanks again!!

junebug 03-28-2007 7:04 PM

I can do surface 180 with fins on but I've heard the same thing. Im going to try to ride without them this year. Just remember that it's going to be squirrel without fins. By the way what size fins do you have?

nhu1978 03-28-2007 7:16 PM

I went ahead and measured just so I could see for myself. But here is what I got from a site:
Fin configuration: Three on each end. One 1.7" Skater center fin and two molded-in side fins. Why do you ask? And how long have you been boarding?

kristina93 03-28-2007 8:02 PM

I rode without my fins

junebug 03-29-2007 9:09 AM

the reason i ask is because there are different sizes. you may want to try a smaller size first.

Thanks again guys for your help.
