Yeah!!!! We did it!!!! WWA has agreed to add a Women's Vets division for all us mature ladies!! The only stipulation is that there has to be at least 4 riders in Master's Women and 4 in Vets. Come on all you rippers....come out and ride!!! Represent!!! It will be offered at Wake Games, Nationals, and Worlds.

oldgirl 01-25-2010 9:39 PM

What? No super vets? JK
The vets division is cool. I hope the"younger" women will start to compete. The amateur women's division needs competitors, as will the women's masters.

rnopr8 01-25-2010 9:50 PM

Hahahaha....baby steps....just give me time!!!!
So...you in? When we riding again? I want to see that 3 in person!!!

(Message edited by rnopr8 on January 25, 2010)

(Message edited by rnopr8 on January 25, 2010)

Hmmm....maybe by the time I'm eligible for the Vets division I'll actually have enough tricks to ride in it! Congrats, ladies! Spreadin the love...one division at a time!

lizrd 01-26-2010 9:44 AM

Nice work! The Vet's Division is going to be pretty darn competitive. So I think we need to recruit some more 30-39 year olds...

oldgirl 01-26-2010 3:48 PM

Geri-I guess I have to go now that we have our own division!

Let me know if you are up to riding in the peanut-butter at the lagoon.

Kathleen-Don't wait to compete. Join us this year. You are probably better than you think.

rnopr8 01-26-2010 5:01 PM

yea, chocolate milk with floaters at Canyon.

wakekat15 01-26-2010 5:23 PM

Liz - I thought you were still part of the youngster group below 40!!

Geri - Thanks for reminding Priscilla that we talked about the new division last year. Will they just combine the two groups if there aren't 4 people in each for the applicable competition? I'd rather them do that than take away the Vet Division next year based on participation this year.

lizrd 01-26-2010 6:37 PM

Oh - I am in the "young" group for a bit more time. Do they go by birthdate or Jan 1? We need more 30-somethings!

rnopr8 01-26-2010 10:49 PM

Liz....Jan 1.
Kat....it is my understanding that we will covert back to masters. But I will confirm that.

rnopr8 01-26-2010 11:01 PM

Liz....I believe Irene wants to compete this year and Kat has a couple friends who want to also....that would be 5 and any others...

rnopr8 01-26-2010 11:02 PM

Allison...Kathleen would have to join the Youngsters...lol

lizrd 01-27-2010 6:01 AM

Perfect - it would be great to get both divisions off the ground. Then we would have
Women (19-29)
Masters (30-39)
Veterans (40+)

We can show all those kids what we can do!

rnopr8 01-27-2010 7:38 AM

Liz...Absolutely! BTW...I did confirm that we will default back to Masters Women if not enough Vets

wakekat15 01-27-2010 1:29 PM

I don't think enough Vets will be the problem....likely not enough in Master's!

lizrd 01-27-2010 4:27 PM

That's what I was thinking - here's the ones I know: Jen, me, CC. Oh, there's Annie too but I don't know the status of her knee this season. Time will tell I guess.

So if we don't get enough Masters do WE default to Veterans?!? Or do we bump down to Amateur Women?

01-27-2010 5:09 PM

Allison...thanks for the vote of confidence...maybe 2011...I'll still be one of the "youngsters"...barely. LOL

rnopr8 01-27-2010 6:10 PM

Liz...Masters will run..Vets will be dropped. Don't forget about Irene...and I think Kat has a couple friends too. Kat...what about Danielle?

wakekat15 01-28-2010 3:51 AM

DaNielle is just a Baby! lol She will be riding in Women's.

rnopr8 01-28-2010 8:34 AM

Oh that's right...my bad!

push_girl 01-28-2010 12:05 PM

Not sure if I will be competing this year because I'm getting married this summer, not because of my knee. The doc thinks I should be good, but in a couple of months if it hasn't gotten better he's going in. The wedding is in July and I don't think I will have the time or the money to worry about my passes. Looks like next year I will be able to be back out there riding with a new name.

cece 01-28-2010 2:00 PM

I'm hoping the knee is good enough to compete this year. If I don't have enough time to really ride prior, I'll go Reno to cheer everybody on. However, if we need me to ride just to keep things going, I'll take donations to pay the entry fee and at least strap the board on and goof off

It'll be 2012 before I can compete in the Vet's division. I feel like such a young buck (or rather doe) right now.

sexyws6mama 01-28-2010 4:06 PM

I"m 29 right now, but about to be 30 in August, maybe I'll be better by then! LOL

wakekat15 01-28-2010 5:28 PM

Pretty sure it goes with your age as of Jan 1, so ride in Women's! It's more about the fun we have than the competition itself.

lizrd 01-28-2010 6:17 PM

CC - I would expect you to be there with a bum knee or not!

Hi Annie - good to see you posting! The wedding sounds like fun and I loved your proposal pics. Even if you don't compete perhaps you can scoot down to the Fox River sometime this season! If you listen carefully you might just hear my X-2 calling your name....

push_girl 02-01-2010 3:14 PM

Is that what that was, I thought it was just the voices in my head!! LOL

clearlakeirene 02-02-2010 8:17 PM

Hi Girls....Thanks for mentioning me Geri :-). I am hoping to ride Wake Games if I can ever get out on the lake again (Brrr!). I have gotten very wimpy, and people dont to ride because its chilly! But if I can get a my tricks consistant I will be there

polhamus 02-15-2010 5:15 PM

polhamus 02-15-2010 5:16 PM

wakekat15 02-16-2010 4:34 AM

Kim - should be you, Liz, Jen, Irene, CC, Annie (maybe), and two or three new faces.

PS If I had made the rules, the judges would throw me a beer on my 2nd fall!

polhamus 02-16-2010 4:25 PM

I will only be at nationals. unless I win the lottery. I will be at wake games

02-19-2010 9:00 AM

wakekat15 02-19-2010 11:39 AM
