Not many WW'ers from Greenville, but there are some riders and boats there, and a great stretch of water. You may have more luck asking around at the comp. Unless you are planning on skipping out from the comp a little early, not sure if you'll time for boat sets Saturday anyway, and most of the local riders will more than likely be at the comp.

I will be at the comp on Sat doing something; announcing, judging, driving, maybe even riding, but I am not pulling my boat up. I live in Wilson, a little less than an hour away, which is right where you get on US-264 from I-95 (depending on which way you are coming), and will gladly pull you on Sunday. You may have to come through here anyway.

If you are wanting to stay in Gville for the demo, then I can give you a few names/numbers of locals with boats that may be up to hosting something like this. Just let me know how I can help.

Where do people around greenville ride? Are they riding in the tar river?

ndh2o 04-10-2012 6:21 AM

Yes, the Tar. Launch at Port Terminal and head towards Washington or launch in Washington and head towards Greenville. It's narrow and a few snags to watch for, but the water is awesome.

What's the depth on that end of the tar, I've done a little fishing on the tar around greenville in the past but never made it up to Washington. We tend to do a little more surfing than anything else.

I don't know the depth, but plenty deep. Bigger boats roll through there sometimes. We've never had a problem with the wake due to depth.
