you need to learn how to edit... your first video is going to take forever to do since you have to teach yourself how to edit.

first off, you need some editing software... adobe premiere, sony vegas, avid, final cut pro, etc... i think you can use apples imovie or windows movie maker as well (never tried them). you best bet is to start researching for tutorials and what not for the software you are using.

i have a few editing programs i have some vegas and adobe and some dell one that came with the computer and i know how to use them pretty good i played with them for hours and hours but how do you start do you pick the song first or start takeing clips off that go good with the song or what?

You can pretty much do it how you want. Personaly, I always pick the song before anything. That sets the tone for the whole video.

yah i usually pick a song that will dictate the mood of the video or section of video. but you can do it either way... depends really if you want to cut on the beat or not.
