Yes, I think its because snowboarding you are leaning forward(downhills) for proper edging, and wakeboarding you are leaning back(away from boat for line tenision). My cousin doesn't seem to have this problem I should ask him why.

Jason ~ could it be more then that??

More than likely it is more than that, I was just taking a stab at the obvious. I was just thinking it was the largest factor because after wakeboarding I find my self leaning back on my snowboard instead of forward, then when I go back to wakeboarding I find myself leaning too far forward. It also could be that in wake boarding your shoulders are more square to the direction you are going were in snowboarding they are more inline of your direction. Anybody else have thoughts on this?

The problem generally experienced it jumping after a long season of snowboarding. This is because of the fact that when you snowboard you flatten out when you hit your jumps you dont stay on edge. If you stayed on edge you would en up on your back or face every time. If you find yourself either getting minimal height, starting backside rotation in air, or otherwise inconsisten jumping you are more than likely flattening off and not holding your edge through the wake.

Snowboarding should improve your wakeboarding by improving you sense of balance.

Mentally I don't equate wakeboarding to snowboarding anymore than I equate wakeboarding to skateboarding.

Perhaps when you develop more "muscle memory" for wakeboarding and snowboarding the difference will become more apparent and the problem will go away.

~J.
