Just a heads up, there have been 3 boats either partialy or totally stripped in the past 3 weeks, all were stored behind fences. Two of them lost everything including towers.

I say everyone on this board pitches in $25 for the person that can put a cap in one of those SOB's. You could make some good cash....

Start looking for the towers and other equipment on eBay.

that sucks. I live in modesto. Hope they don't move south. I'll let you know if I see anyone trying to sell some used towers. what kind were they and what kind of equipment?

marknjenn 06-03-2005 10:19 AM

The towers were proflight, that's all I know about them. The the other guy lost all of his JL amps before they got scared.

FYI:
craigslist, ebay, classifieds, etc -> I don't see to many used towers for sale through classifieds, so hopefully someone will catch it..

Mark - where were these stolen from homes, boat yards, stores, etc???

Also - HOW THE F$(%K DO YOU transport a tower or 2 @ 3am without looking strange???

They were stolen from the side yards of homes, the guy with just the amps stolen heard them and scared them off. These guys a bold! Unfortunetly it looks like the people doing it know there boats. They should know not to mess with a man's toy!!

shoot first, ask questions later. I'm scared to park my boat out in front of my house for even a day. To know someone went in their backyard and ripped off towers is amazing. That takes big cajones. Hopefully they'll get caught. It's pretty hard to be incongnito rolling down the street with a tower in the back of your car/truck. I hate to say it, but I'm skeptical of buying stuff from ebay for that very reason. I wan't documentation or a good story before I buy something. It's too easy to sell stolen goods these days.

I second C.I.E.'s opinion-Shoot first and ask questyions later - stealing boat parts is B.S.!!

wow thanks for the heads up...i live in Manteca

nikdog 06-06-2005 10:44 AM

One of my friends was taken from Stocken, They caught the guys but not until after the BRAND new boat had been stripped..I will have to see if they connected these guys to any other thefts,,,

marknjenn 06-06-2005 12:22 PM

Hopefully those are the guys! If you find anything out let us know!

purestructure03 06-07-2005 12:24 AM

i guess it's not only the amount of cars stolen in manteca that has increased.......they're hittin our boats now too

deneng 06-09-2005 1:11 AM

From what i understand u never want to put a used tower on your boat anyway because they will never fit right. This is what the guy told me who installed my monster. Crooks or whoever buys it will not be happy with the outcome..
