I bought a set of the rectangular ones a few weeks back... but when I go to drain them, I can never seem to get all the water out...because the sacks seem to have several different sections/chambers inside? The directions have no mention of draining instructions, or any diagrams of how the chambers are arranged... <BR> <BR>Anybody know what I'm talking about, and how do you take care of it? I know this problem is specific to the Launch Pad side sacks only. <BR> <BR>Thanks.

Dude. There are no chambers on the LP Side Sacs. You just have to shift the sac around to get the water out of the drain hole, but I wouldn't even worry about getting all the water out.

No, I'm positive. There are chambers. I can be holding the bag over the side of the boat, with a drain valve on the bottom...and even though I can feel tons of water in there (like 60+ pounds worth), nothing comes out. And I've used tons of ballast bags before...I swear I'm not retarded! Anyway, I'm going to contact LaunchPad and see if maybe they know what I'm talking about???

I have a set of LP V-drive sacs and they do not have any chambers in them. I believe they do have a check valve (flap) inside of the nozzles to keep water from rushing out when you remove your pump. This is probably what is keeping the water from flowing out. You have to push something in there to move the flap out of the way before water will flow out. Why don't you just use a pump to drain them? Much easier.

I do use a pump, it just eventually sucks the chamber dry, and that is when I lift them over the side of the boat (with no luck). And I know mine don't have any flaps...though that would be a damn good idea with these things... <BR> <BR>I swear I'm not nuts. I'm just gonna get ahold of Straightline, maybe they know what I'm talking about. Probably not, but maybe.

Cal, <BR>I have a pair of the LP 680's (rectangular) and noticed a "chamber" in the middle. You can even see the "weld" on the side of the sac. I'm assuming it's for strength to hold the rectangle shape. Plus the 680's have clear cooler bins on top that allow you to see inside the sac, so I can see the partition. Since I haven't gotten to use them yet I don't know how they operate, if they are sealed (don't let water in), or if they're open to let water flow. <BR>Let me know what you find out.

YES!!! I'M NOT CRAZY!!! I'll let you know. Or if anybody else knows, please inform us. Judging by the info on the Straigline website (straightlinewatersports.com), it sounds like the design is new for 2004.
