LR 3 is out as that free Beta. Will there be a free upgrade to 3 from 2 down the road? If not wouldn't it be best to just use 3 and pay for it when they take it out of beta? If you pay $150 now and $150 to upgrade later it sounds like a wash.

The deal has already passed, but the lightroom upgrade (at least from 1.0 to 2.0) was only $99.. I would assume the same from 2.0 to 3.0, so it would have been a savings of $50. ;-)
