Does anyone have a black cover for their boat? How hot does the cover get? How hot does the inside of the boat get? <BR> <BR>I am wondering how hot they get in the dead of summer when you are removing it. I live in Georgia and it's usually 90 degrees plus during the heat of summer.

They get pretty hot here in colorado. But only for the 10 seconds it takes to take it off...

We have a black cover......and the term hot in reference to the cover never crossed my mind. But I think it does make the boat nice and warm inside to help dry it out when we are not using it.

Huh I never thought about it either...I too have one and have never had any issues with it being to hot. I wouldn't worry about it.

Also keeps the bugs from living inside the boat. <BR> <BR>I have a thermometer I put under the cover in the spring. It has a 2nd sensor I put in the engine compartment &amp; it records max high &amp; low temps. I've seen over 150 degrees in the spring when the sun is shining &amp; it's maybe 60 or 70 degrees outside. <BR> <BR>When I pull the cover off the boat in the summer it takes a few minutes for the interior to cool down.

Thanks all....sounds like its not as much of an issue. I have a black swim platform and when its not in the water its hot as hell. Thought the black cover might be the same.

I have an all black cover and a mostly black boat and no real problems with heat.Once the cover is off it cools down fast.My issue with the black is the damn water spots on the gel.Black gel coat looks great,but is a pain to keep that way.

The only thing is being in Georgia is the humidity. If your leaving the boat outside..... with the heat... it's going to harbor a lot of the humidity. I would just think it wouldn't be good for electrical connections and such.

Yep gonna get some of that.I have their seat soap and seat saver,they work great on the interior so I figure their other stuff is probably good also.

ducky water spot remover is the only thing that works on black, babes doesnt work very well

It's unreal how hot it gets, and I have actually been burned in august when I have climbed into a black cover. Also remember that the snaps on your cover will become EXTREMELY hot. It takes more than 30 seconds to cool off if it's a 100 degree+ day.
