Well folks, it took almost 2 years of research, testing, and a ton a patience to find the perfect boat for my family. I found a 2008 X-45 with the LY6. The boat is in perfect condidtion and was completely inspected my the MC dealer, including a compression test, just to make sure. Plus its under warranty until 2014.

Some of the main areas I focused on was build quality, ride (our lake can get rough at times), wake potential, and room. We have 3 small boys which are getting more and more into wakeboarding and need a boat which we can take all of them and their friends wihout falling all over each other and required gear. The X-45 is just plain big. However with the LY6, this boat handles/rides better than all of the other boats I drove. Those included the Nautique 236/230, Supra 24, Tige RZ4, Malibu LSV 23 & 24, X15, X30 and X-Star. All of those other boat are quality rides and liked each one in their own way. The X-45 just met our needs better.

Brock- I have to reset my boat lift bunks to accomidate the prop shaft. Hopefully that will be done by Wednesday. Then it will be safe and sound down at the covered dock. It kills me having un-covered.

I will get some shots in the water and post them up in a couple of days.

I learned to slalom behind a 20ft camo duck boat with a 20hp hand throttle Mercury. And used it until we broke the transom welds.
