Warrior Dash
Did the warrior dash last summer and I though this was alot of fun and I have already signed up for both of the 2012 MI races. Anyone else try it?

I'd give it a 4/10....
the actual race is somewhat of a joke. the obstacles are cheezy...physically it's not challenging. the best thing about it was the beer at the end. the event I went to was pretty unorganized.....you could have raced w/o even paying if you wanted too. I thought this was a bti more challenging. http://toughmudder.com/ |
My boss does all of that stuff. He said to do the GoRuck Challenge if you think you're fit. He said the Tough Mudder was a good warm up for it.

Warrior Dash seems like it might be fun if you take it as a joke and dress up with your friends but other then that it looks like something kind of extreme(at least from the marketing) for a bunch of IT nerds to go do. I am sure it would be fun to get blasted drunk and go do but from everything I have heard is not challenging at all.

Tough mudder this year in Nor cal won't be at Squaw which I think sux. That site was amazing and very challenging. Not sure I'll do it this year because of the venue change. I am going to do the Vancouver BC one though.
It's an amazing experience. The warrior dash is a fun day in the park compared to it. Pretty funny when you pass the sign saying if you were doing the warrior dash, you'd be done by now. Last year nor cal was 13.5 miles with 4700 feet of elevation change. Most people who had done quite a few said it was the hardest of them all because of the elevation. SoCal Sunday last year was the roughest because of the extremely cold temp. |
