i know i have seen a post about these somewhere, but i cant find it. it might have been on that other website that i rarely look at, but i know i have seen it.

it is a company that makes special bolts that takes a special tool to remove. this would prevent anyone with a allen wrench to be able to steal my tower speakers. anyone know what i am tlaking about?

Just don't let those make you too complacent...

They'll probably stop spur-of-the-moment punks from ganking your stuff but real criminals would check it out and come back later...prepared. That hardware is mostly designed to keep bored kids from dismantling the bathroom while they're pinching one off.

I'd really like to see some boats, towers, accessories, etc. designed with some security built in...locking storage...wheel lock type hardware...

i know that nautiques have locks on the rear storage compartments. i mainly want these fasteners for those random nights i leave my boat tied up to a dock or on my trailer at a hotel.

has anyone ordered these? i was wondering what size and kind i should order for B-530's. if anyone knows, can you let me know?

thanks
Tower clamp size is 1/4-20.
Speaker to clamp size is 3/8-16.
Just order the right length.
Go with the torx w/ pin or socket w/ pin. You can't really tighten the "spanner" ones enough because the driver bits always break.

How do I know? I tried to outfit a couple hundred lab computers with them once. I didn't know the other styles existed.

Ski Supremes come with locks on there two rear lockers, i am just gunna put my speakers in there.

s dub what are those numbers you posted? what is the 1/4? and what is the 20?
salmon_tacos 03-05-2003 12:53 PM

1/4" bolt, 20 threads per inch.

Measure yours for the length.

i gotcha. thanks.

i just called and they said they sell them by boxes of 100. damn, all i need is 4.

salmon_tacos 03-05-2003 3:01 PM

Search for "fasteners" and/or "bolts" on yp.yahoo.com in your local area. Give a couple of those places a call and see if they have what you need.

I know some places around here that will order just about anything and will do small quantities for walk-ins but not mail-order.
