hey everyone, i have found a good deal on a 1988 mastercraft tristar 190 and i want to know a little more about this model before i travel the distance to look at it. Is the wake good for boarding?

takes a lot of weight and you have to drive it a little faster. like 24. solid boat tho.

Liked the boat never skied behind it though. I put about 500 hours on mine in 3 years. here is a link to an old thread with some pics of my wake and more description. http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/261825.html

(Message edited by sbt3 on September 07, 2007)

sbt3: Great link with lots of info to consider - thanks!
Taking the '88 out for a ride tomorrow. But just found a '92 Prostar 205 (open bow) with about 300 hours for just a little more - wondering if anyone can compare the '88 Tristar 190 against the '92 Prostar 205 for me? Also, we ski AND wakeboard - does either boat serve both sports "reasonably" well?

go with the 205. a much better overall boat. resell will also be much more down the road.
