i have some money to spend and am thinking about either getting a ( secondhand )tower ( rope is now attached to back of the boat ) or a new set up ( board + bindings ) the setup i have now is decent but not the best. What wil have the biggest impact on my riding
thanks

If you can afford the tower, don't even bother with the extended pylon. I HATED mine - it was in the way, boards drip on your head, and if you have an open bow, the bow strap gets in the way when someone wants to sit up there.

The new board and bindings can wait. Putting a tower on your boat is almost like getting a whole new boat.

Whatever you decide - good luck.

What type of boat is it? Inboard? I/O?

If it's an I/O get a nice 4 or 5 blade prop also.
It's a huge help when you start adding weight.

I used to have an extended pylon, yes it was a pain (always in the way) but it was functional and a lot cheaper than a tower.

So if you do have an I/O and have the $ for a tower, I would go with an extended pylon, fat sacs and new prop for the same price.
