What do you guys think? <BR> <BR>I am looking at HIFONICS ZEUS ZXI6006 600 WATT 2 ch. CAR AMPLIFIER to power 2Sound stream 12 dvc subs. <BR> <BR>A second Zeus to power a pair of 6x9 and a pair of 6.5 component speakers. All soundstream. <BR> <BR>Both amps will be running with 2 ohm loads. <BR> <BR>Any thoughts?

I havent heard much lately but Hifonics used to make really nice amps, as well as some base models. Soundstreams also used to hold their own, but I havent really been around mobile stereo in quite a few years. If this is stuff you already have, just double check the ohm loads and hook it up. Its sounds like a pretty quality set up to me, not the type to blow others away, but not going to get laughed off the water either. Just re read the post, is 600 watts enough for 2 twelves?

600 will most likely be too little for 2 - 12's in a boat, maybe not in a car but there is a big difference in ambient noise

^^^^agreed. bigger amp for the subs. Hi fonics is solid equipment, not the best but good "bang for yrou buck". Make sure you build the right box for your subs and they will sound good.

So 300 watts Rms is too little? What dou you suggest? I havnt purchased any thing yet. And I am only looking to spend 500 on every thing. <BR> <BR>I came across some amps that I have never heard of.
