Hi everyone.
I experience a lot of trouble with my shoulders, when wakeboarding, kitesurfing and snowboarding. The doctors wants to give me surgery, but there's alot of waiting for it to become reality, so I hope i can get through this summer and maybe get the surgery in November/December.
So thus far I would like to get a shoulderbrace that can help prevent the dislocations, and i think I will keep using it even when my shoulder is fixed.
It is almost always my left shoulder that is the problem, so i think that if I fix that, the right one will be okay as well.

I hope you guys can help with some suggestions.

If you know where to buy these braces, I hope you know some pages that maybe are located in Europe, that it is alot of hassle to order from the US to Denmark

I suffer from the same problem. Keeping in the gym helps out a lot. Keeping my shoulders strong and tight. I have never heard of a brace but I have a jet pilot heater top that I wear in the winter. It is super tight and I can def tell it is helping hold the sholder in. The only problem is it is too hot to wear all season. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply. What is a jet pilot heater exactly? Maybe you can post me a link?

I don't think the gym helps me a lot, i've trained a lot and it never really helped me i think. I hope that it can help if i maybe both train my rotator cuff and strenghten my shoulders.

But what i was thinking was maybe something like this: http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/180052.jpg

There was an old topic on this page that talked about it too.

Some riders will shoulder problems ride with a jump sling.

http://www.schiek.com/misc.html

http://www.waterskis.com/MasterLine-Jump-Slin-p/MasterLine_Jump_Sling.htm

I've dislocated my shoulder four times and had two surgeries. I wore a shoulder brace after my second surgergy, but I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze.

Learn how to fall correctly and you are way better off (arm in, hand accross your belly.) That will do way more for you. The shoulder is such a mobile joint is does not brace effectivley.

This is what I have. Just make sure it's super tight....

http://www.buywake.com/catalog/detail/aXHbw

Like pac said, I have learned to fall like that as well, the bad thing is you can't always predict a fall.
